Immersive, authentic Edo-era Japanese stay experience combined with outstanding modern technologies for comfort and cleanliness. I experienced the best of both worlds. Aesthetics, interior designs are from renovations of an old building, they call it "machiya". Because I am a very tall person, I had to duck down at some doors to avoid hitting my head.

First time staying in a "Machiya". I would describe it as a mix between a ryokan and a modern B&B. The old and the new. The ample space and the great interior drew me to stay here. It's next to the kamogawa river. Check-in was a breeze and the great isolation kept it very quiet inside.
