This is a terrific hotel situated just outside Sorrento. The breakfast is excellent, the staff are really friendly and the pool is very good. Great rooftop cocktail bar with amazing views but very expensive cocktails. I would stay here again without hesitation...

Want a room to sleep that’s quiet? Skip this hotel. Blasting with loud music (club level) on our room floor and unable to move us! Music extends all the way to third floor! Rooms are clean but it doesn’t have essentials such as a toilet paper or towel holder. You just need to hold your toilet paper to the toilet when you use it. Lights in the bathroom wasn’t working, we asked twice to get it fixed. Their music was on until 2am and today they say it won’t end until midnight. Updated: Music did not ended at midnight, called twice for it to be off. Their bar was still entertaining customers loudly again until 2am. We finally got a different room for the third night and the quality was completely different, it’s 4/5 like their hotel rating. So were we discriminated and gave an inferior room for the first two nights or is this bait/switch? They even refused to compensate us (tricking us they need to talk to Expedia but on the other hand telling Expedia it’s final, no compensation). First hotel in my life that’s this way, you are inferior to a motel/hostel/guesthouse, at least motels are up front at what’s there and all guests are treated the same. To the hotel owner, you have potential to be a true 4 star hotel but your management would rather mislead customers, overtime it will ruin your reputation and become a true one-star hotel that will cost you.

Please don’t read the bad reviews of this hotel, they are people moaning and being overly critical. The hotel is clean, the bars are excellent, the lunchtime food at the pool is delicious, and importantly the staff are fantastic. The rooftop bar is expensive, but with good reason… you are sitting with an expertly made cocktail that has the best spirits Sorrento has to offer, the view is amazing, and you can watch the sunset behind Vesuvius! Throw in a DJ and some great bar snacks and it’s really worth every penny!! Thanks to Franky at the pool for being so welcoming and helpful, he brought a smile to everyone in our family every day. Antonella and her staff at the bar were also fantastic to us everyday, again it wouldn’t be the same without them.

We have just returned after a wonderful 2 week holiday. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The reception team were approachable and assisted us with any queries we had. The downstairs bar staff Maria and Antonella were so friendly, it was lovely to have daily chats with them. Francesco (Frankie), the lifeguard was just fabulous and made the time each day to talk to all the guests and we had a great laugh with him. The location is excellent, so near to Sorrento but that bit quieter which was lovely. There were restaurants and bars in the area which were just 5 or 10 minutes walk away. The rooftop bar hosted breathtaking views of the surrounding area including Mount Vesuvius. We highly recommend Majestic Palace hotel and hope to visit again in the not too distant future.
