Mandara Resort hotel Hotel is located just opposite to the Indian ocean at mirissa. Many rooms have nice beach view. Food taste was good. Restaurant staffs are courteous enough to pack the food as we were going to whale watching in the early morning. This hotel has got a lengthy but neat swimming pool. People can spend good time in the green area. Hotel had arranged a music programme in the lawn. Hotel was good. Just a suggestion to the main manager (who sits inside the office): You must learn to speak to gently with your customers. The way he asked "what's your room number?" When we went for the dinner did made us feel as if we are staying here for free! Learn to respect your guests. If you don't know how to speak, then resign this job. This field is not for you. People in the hospitality industry must know "customer is the king". Just for this one issue I am reducing the star for him hotel. Just to note, all other staffs in the restaurant were kind and friendly. No issues.

This sea resort is right on the beach. The access road is very narrow for large cars/vans to get in. It is close enough to the Mirissa harbour (famous for Whale watching boat rides). It has excellent and modern rooms equipped with modern and clean bathroom fittings. The rooms have a good view too! However, the rooms lack centralised AC and proper comforter/ blanket on bed making it uncomfortable to sleep at night. The buffet dinner has live music which is good on most counts. The food spread lacks vegetarian fare and what is available isn't well made. Definitely needs Improvement here esp. with Indian guests around. The staff is good and courteous.

I visited Mandara Resort Mirissa and I gotta say it was average. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location and has easy access to the beach. The scenery was calming. The rooms are spacious but there were issues like broken equipment and I got no hot water. Need better maintenance. Considering this is a 4 star hotel the buffet was pretty good. The food tasted good and the spread was fine. But the restaurant staff seems to have a lack of experience in handling guests. Things I requested never came to my table and the staff is small. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay in the sea breeze.

The place was either under staffed or it was a management problem, we arrived 2 hours after our check-in time and the rooms were not available and we had to wait for the rooms. There was no internet due to some cable lines being cut. Room service was a joke! They took more than an hour to get bottles of water! The F&B manager Mr. Colin was this place saving grace. He arranged for a router for us and made sure our food orders came quickly. The breakfast spread was really good! Due to Colin's efforts, this place is getting 3 stars otherwise it would have been 0.

The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your day comfortable. Super standard service and food is also very good. It was my Dad's birthday and we could get more than we expected from the Management and the staff at Mandara Resort. Would recommend this place for everyone who expects a high quality service and super calm mind relaxing vacation. What a lovely experience. Thank you team !!!
