Mangrove Dongdaemun - Hostel

This is my first time staying in this hotel, and I am very pleased with it. It is a short walk from DDP, where Seoul Fashion Week is held. It makes my commute to work alot easier. My room was on the 14th floor, and I had a fantastic view of the Dongdaemun district. It's a small room, but it has all the amenities I need. The room is quiet and smoke-free, allowing me to work late into the evening. Because the single room was fully booked, I stayed in the bunk room alone. The air conditioner operates and I can open the windows for additional ventilation. Each bunk bed has a privacy curtain, which is fantastic. The only thing that requires some getting used to is the fact that the tap and shower head share the same switch, so I occasionally turn on the shower instead of the tap. Aside from that, the shower drains and dries well. I appreciate that there is a hot and cold water dispenser just outside my room, so I do not have to go to the kitchen in the middle of the night to get water. Since I'm a photographer, I find that there aren't a lot of electronic switches. I had to charge the battery for my camera in the bathroom. If there are going to be two people in the room, it would be helpful to bring a multi-plug. I went to the kitchen occassionally, and it is fully functional. Cooking supplies are provided. I also appreciate the recycling bins in the kitchen! Even though I didn't use the laundry facility this time, I was impressed by how many washers and dryers were there. Cafes, restaurants, and shops are all within walking distance. Next door is a large Nike store (Hoop City). If you need a late-night snack, there is a convenient store right next to the accommodation. Egg Drop, BonJuk, Beef Stew Restaurant at Little Uzbekistan, Chimek restaurants and Paris Baguette are some nearby places to eat that you should try if you stay at this place. Oh, and just 200m away is a big pharmacy called Sejung that is friendly to travelers and stays open late. Lastly, please do not check out late, as you cannot re-enter the room thereafter. The door's password does not work. I was unable to access the room since I left a portion of my stuff unpacked when I left for work in the morning. The manager packed all of my belongings for me. In general, I enjoy the vibes of the establishment. While riding the elevator, I met people from various cultures and nationalities. I would highly recommend this location if you are traveling alone for work or with your siblings and friends.
