Super great place to stay near Matera. The rooms are very spacious, well decorated, cosy and clean. The staff is outstanding, carrying about your stay that you feel home all the time. Great great breakfast. Definitely recommended.

I just can’t imagine better hotel. We made so nice pictures and videos of the castle tower. Super close to Matera and to Canyon view point. The bed, pillows and duvet are so comfy, you feel like on the cloud. Beatrice is so welcoming. The breakfast is delicious, big variety of pastry, cold cut and homemade cakes and pie, and jams. I would give this place 10 stars on Google if I could

The castle and the suite were just like in the pictures – very nice and romantic. Host, Beatrice, was very helpful, gave us a lot of tips for sightseeing, restaurants in Matera. Everything was perfectly clean, breakfast was very good. Since it is a fortress in the estate, there was, naturally, a lot of free parking space. However, we hoped there would be a restaurant or at least some place to sit in the evening, maybe have a glass of wine, when we return from Matera. Unfortunately there was none (not even in the room, because couch was used as third bed), so what we thought would be a fairy-tale turned out to be "The sleeping beauty".

We had a great stay. The beautiful historical masseria / tower / monastery (the building served many purposes over the centuries) is renovated in a very stylish way, with large and comfortable rooms. It’s very nice to stay at a place with so much history combined with a perfect sense for hospitality. Breakfast is perfect, with products from the farm, and the staff/owners are very welcoming and share lots of recommendations for things to do, restaurants etc.

Excellent accommodation, large and clean rooms, the hosts were very nice and generous. An excellent breakfast that includes fresh pastries and dairy products made by the farm. Located in the countryside of Matera with easy access by car to the Sassi, close to an observation point over Matera Sassi. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.
