Back to this hotel after 8 years, and the room looks more modern and clean. Was upgraded to the one-bedroom suite and was spoiled with a complimentary wine and fruit platter in the room. The pool still looks old and small, compared to the new hotels in the area. Overall, one of good options if you are looking for a place to stay in the city.

Stayed at this hotel. And money was stolen from the room. I made a complaint to the front desk and they told me to make a police report. Just be careful with your belongings here. Keep it at a safe space. Even though it’s a 4 star hotel. A thief can always get through

First time I stayed in Melbourne Marriott was like almost 5 years ago and with my current stay (October 23) I was nicely surprised about all the upgrades they did. Nice restaurant with pleasant staff and they were able to accommodate my dietary needs (vegan). Our room on nineth floor was very nice, super spacious with comfortable bed and good working space. All staff is very friendly, we had some very nice interactions with housekeeper Mary who engaged with us in nice chats, gave us some recommendations and when we saw her always asked if we need anything in the room. The hotel has great location, with short walk to the Carlton Gardens, Melbourne Museum, and walkable distance to Fitzroy. Part of CBD so all accessible by walking or jumping on the free tram. Good place to stay with nice friendly staff which always makes the stay more pleasant.

We had a pleasant stay at the Melbourne Marriott. The room was nice and big and the hotel is very well located, close to a lot of good restaurants in Chinatown and shopping arcades within walking distance. QVM is also walkable, takes around 20 minutes. Although we arrived past midnight the night desk manager was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. My main criticisms, which are not too big, are that the water pressure in the shower was quite low and the club lounge, quite small and forlorn. It didn't seem to be serviced much and seemed a bit of an afterthought.
