Mere Sea View Penida

The stay was good, with a clean room and an amazing view. The pool was also great and had a fantastic view. However, we had a terrible experience at the end. First, they offered scooter rentals (they partnered with a company) and promised us a new scooter for 100k. They had old scooters for 80k but we preferred to pay the new one. When we got the scooter the next day it was very very old, which we didn’t mind, but when we drove that day and the following, we felt very unsafe because the scooter was falling to pieces. We even got a flat tire and covered for it which was ok, but the mechanic said the bike was the oldest they’ve seen and that we should be careful driving it. When we did the check out we had to pay the scooter rental plus some food we ordered from the hotel. They wanted to charge us 100k for the scooter, we complained and they went back and forth with the scooter rental company until they finally agreed on the 80k fair price. After that, they didn’t have credit card payment option so we had to pay in cash. The issue was they didn’t have change, so we lost some money. Instead of offering for us not to pay some small remaining balance, we had to pay with a bigger bill and receive almost no change. We’ve never had an experience like this before, specially in bali, so we are very disappointed. We would’ve recommended the hotel, but again this experience was very uncomfortable for us, so we do not recommend staying here.

Quiet and peaceful, with great views of Mount Agung. Also, considering all tourist hot spots, strategically located. Clean, smelled amazing, staff were awesome and breakfast options were amazing! Only downsides were slow wifi and hard pillows. Tip: Get a bike rental sorted before you arrive or at the harbour. Daily rate is 100,000 IDR. Saves a few pennies on taxi back and forth. Go to Kelingking Beach early!!! Big crowds and lots of cars.
