Excellent, large 2bed holiday cottage (Trevone). Now a little worn at the fringes, and not perfect for dark skies. Huge living room, but no view due to the hedge.

It should be 4 stars but two very small but irritating points I found. 1. The long road to the accommodation is extremely in bad condition, even driving like a snail one still worries about the car, unless you have a top SUV then it may not bother you. 2. We took our dog and the place designated to let them relieve themselves was grass and at this time of the year far too long in my opinion, wet shoes is one thing but clearing up ones dog mess is hard in longer grass. Perhaps being towards the end of a busy season the owners may not have the energy to keep it up as other times? The accommodation itself is top class and very comfortable and if you are not bothered by my own grievances then it is a quality place to stay in Cornwall. It has everything one needs whatever the weather. Getting up early on your last day and leaving by 9am may also be slightly off putting to some, but we all have choices when looking for places to book. Always read the full T&C's

Beautiful, luxurious accommodation. The most comfortable bed. Fantastic shower and bath. Spacious, yet cosy. Excellent location with stunning views. Short walk to the beach and coastal paths. Perfect place to escape and unwind. Absolutely loved it here. Didn’t want to leave.

We have been visiting Merlin farm for 6 years and we always have the most special stay. Daymer is the perfect get away for couples. Beautifully furnished, with a lovely little kitchen and bathroom and a view over looking a field of grazing sheep. Daymer is always sparkling clean with a homely feel. As soon as you step through the door you feel at home. A short walk down through the woods and over a little stream you are at the beach. It is the perfect get away. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Delicious Cornish shortbreads and milk in fridge and tea bags all ready for a cup of tea after a long journey. We cannot recommend Merlin Farm enough

We have stayed at Merlin Farm three times now, twice in Treyarnon and once in one of the Eco cottages. Both are finished to the highest standard and offering extremely comfortable accommodation, finished with some lovely fabrics and soft furnishing, making them feel very luxurious. We took a Swedish friend who had hardly made it out of London for a long weekend to the Eco cottage, to show her something of our lovely countryside and took our Mum's for a "girls" week in early Spring. Merlin Farm is in a prefect location for the north Cornish coast, Constantine Bay and Watergate Bay are great beaches whatever the weather. Morgan Porth beach is an easy walk, just save a bit of puff for the hill on the way home! Lucy and Darell have always been extremely welcoming and very helpful. We will definitely be visiting again sometime in 2013....!
