you cannot sleep in this hotel. the mosque nearby is extremely loud in the night . not suitable for bussiness trips

I’ve booked the hotel for three nights, but canceled it once I personally saw the room. The photos online are very misleading, which displays another atmosphere other than the Miller hotel has. Firstly, people have to enter the hotel from a grocery store on the ground floor and then get to the room through steep floors, which means it cannot be a 3-star hotel but more likely a hostel. Secondly, the cleanliness of bathroom and the bed has probably deteriorated a lot. All the facilities, like the sink, toilet, and wall behind the bed tell ages. Last but not least, the noise problem is definitely not acceptable. Although it’s located on a main road, it doesn’t mean that people have to sleep with cars passing by pillows. Although the owner has explained that the problem exists in every hotel on the street, but in the end it turns out to be an excuse, or more like a lie, which is actually not the only thing he has lied. After we decided to cancel the reservation and booked another one, he said it‘s booking‘s decision to charge the fee of one night. But after the cancellation was submitted, we were informed by booking that the hotel owner has to decide how much he would like to charge us. In a word, the hotel is generally in a very bad condition and the owner refused to take any responsibility, even though the problem is cause by the fake advertising and neglecting the facility maintenance. I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Family with one eleven yr old boy. We arrived very late but the hotel person already waiting and ready to help with our luggages, this was helpful as I just hurt my back and the lift is one floor steep steps up from lobby. Then the hotel main receptionist Mr. Mutlu has been of great help and always friendly to us. He gave us great local recommendations to go around and also great local food place. He is always polite and warm, just make sure you talk to him to get honest local recommendations to places to go or restaurants. Although it’s a humble hotel but don’t judge the book by its cover. the room is clean and spacious, with extra bed perfect for our son. Good size bathroom too. The double glazed door does block out noise, do expect car noise but we slept through just fine as majority of the sound was blocked out. Location is great with tram just across the road which we took to easily access to Sulthanamed. Each trip is only 10 lira. Make sure you ask about it at front desk on how to top up using the machine by tram station. Taksim square is 10mins away (up and downhill). Overall we are impressed with the hospitality and friendly staff, always ready with smile and nice coffee. Good size room and comfortable for family of 3. Easy access to tram and to the tourist areas, etc. Will definitely recommend for family who likes to have more friendly and local touch of service hotel. We will definitely come back again.
