Modern Sultan Hotel is not a fancy hotel - it’s a little dated and in need of updating in some areas, however I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights there. I would describe the hotel as a classic B&B: it’s clean and comfortable, with lots of storage space, as well as a good strong shower. It’s also one of the quietest hotels I’ve stayed in. You are just a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle, but the hotel is down a quiet backstreet and very peaceful. Occasionally you’ll hear other people coming in and out of their rooms, but generally everyone was very mindful and respectful about the noise they were making. Breakfast is the reason I gave only 4 rather than 5*. Breakfast is served from 8.30am-10am, and by the time I’d arrived downstairs at 9am there was literally nothing left to eat - there was no juice, butter, jam, cheese, and just one fairly bashed boiled egg! The lady came out to refill one of the juices and offer me a hot drink, but I literally had nothing for breakfast that morning. I was left really disappointed (and hungry) as I love my breakfast. The next morning I was leaving early for the airport, and they’d just started to put out breakfast, so I quickly grabbed a couple of slices of bread before leaving. Staff were all lovely - very welcoming and friendly. Would I stay here again? Yes. I would just be in the breakfast room for bang on 8.30am!

Excellent breakfast, service, and staff. The location is outstanding. We are planning to come back to the city, and we will definitely stay in this hotel :) I already miss having a tea on the front porch :)

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and a stunning view. The hotel's location was perfect, close to all the major attractions and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. A truly memorable experience!

It's a small hotel, the staff is very friendly and it's located a couple of blocks away from the blue mosque and palace. The location is great. If all you really care about is easy access to the landmarks and lots of restaurants. No elevators and small spiraling staircase and my room was on top floor (5th), staff will move luggage to your room. Breakfast was included and was good. Front desk will help book activities. Room was surprisingly spacious for a family of 4. Air conditioning worked well.

Had a great stay at this small but cosy hotel. Staff were very friendly and helped us book a drive back to the hotel. They also take your luggage to your room. It’s location is perfect as it’s only a short walk to The Hagia Sofia and The Sultan Ahmet mosque. It’s location is also perfect if you prefer to travel by tram as a station is only one or two blocks from the hotel. Breakfast is included and was served well. We also met the cook who was a very friendly Room was spacious for a family of 5. The beds were comfy aswell. Recommend staying!
