The moderne hotel was great! Upon arriving our room was very tidy and had chocolates. The staff was very caring and when asked for recommendations, gave us good places to visit. We were able to leave our bags while we explored the next day. I accidentally left $200 in the side pocket of my bag and truthfully was afraid it most likely wouldn’t be there. It was there and they even helped us carry out our bags to our car to the garage next door. We also got a discount on parking. I’d definitely go back there again!

Very happy with our decision to stay at Moderne! We chose this hotel primarily for the location and weren’t disappointed! Easy access to a few different subway stations, plenty of surrounding restaurants, and it’s a short walk to several big attractions. Our rooms were a decent size for NYC with all the amenities we could need. Bathrooms were clean and modern. We booked directly with the hotel and were glad to have no surprise charges or additional fees upon check-in/check-out. The gym is a block away in a sister hotel and is pretty cramped but I managed ok for my workouts. Overall highly pleased with Moderne and would definitely book again.

Go to a different hotel. Heat would not stop blowing in our room so an “engineer” was sent to fix it. He never touched the unit, he never touched the thermostats. His fix was this: open the window and the door to our room until it was at our desired temperature. We were on the ground floor, so that was a fat no. The desk attendant did his best to help us out with fans but they did little to stifle the growing heat. We booked another hotel for the rest of the trip but had to stay at the Moderne one night because this all happened at 8pm. Will be pursing a full refund for this, absolutely ridiculous.
