We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and attentive, but there was a bit of a language barrier at times, when we needed to communicate in English; luckily google translate performed well when needed. The onsen (hot springs) are segregated by gender and require full nudity, per traditional Japanese style. It was pleasant, with indoor and outdoor options, and a sauna and a cold bath. The food in the restaurant was tasty, with a very wide array of options. The buffet style allowed us to sample many unique flavors and go back for more of what we loved. The restaurant staff worked hard to keep fresh food coming out and remove old dishes from our table; they were very attentive and nice, but again mostly did not speak much English. The ski in ski out location looked ideal, but when we were there the conditions were terrible and only the bottom lift was open. So we had to take a shuttle which ran once an hour and took an hour to get to the other side of the mountain.

Relatively quiet and cheap, but very comfortable and they provide nice buffet style breakfast. Standard room especially bathroom is not spacious but that is okay. Overall highly recommend Northern resort. By the way we stopped by Hilton in AM to ski Niseko Village. Hotel robby was very very crowded, their restaurants were so busy, noisy and almost chaos. I doubt they can offer great service.

Annupuri is friend to skiing & snow boarding beginners, and this hotel has a better deal comparing to the hotel at the other resorts. Room isn’t that good, so if you don’t insist on ski-in/ski-out, then two-star hotels on the street outside are actually better options since those places are also neat and beautiful at winter.

Terrific location (I mean terrific) relative to skiing. The outdoor onsen is a great feature. The buffet meals are great if not spectacular. However the location is otherwise pretty compromised. Annupuri is, compared to Hirafu or even Niseko Village, rather remote with few restaurant options - you must (must) must make reservations for any hope of dinner. That said the cafe on the mountain is open for dinner until 7PM so there is a ready backup to the hotel restaurant. Furthermore the top chairlift is more often closed meaning you have no skiable access to the rest of Niseko (ski patrol forbids climbing up even). Our room was dated and dusty - to the point it lit up my allergies a bit. It was surface clean but look under the bed for that errantly dropped water bottle or look behind the nightstand for an extra power plug and it's a rats nest of dust. The staff is highly variable - from incredibly helpful to marginally rude. We had one young lady bend over backwards to help us solve a small problem, absolutely delightful. Then we had another staffer refuse to talk to a restaurant that did not speak English because the hotel said "we don't get in the middle" of making reservations... which I guess is a fine policy but optimizes on minimizing staff discomfort over the guest. In my experience that was *very* atypical Japanese service experience.

Great room and facilities, but the front staff with the name Ishida is very crude. When we ask what time is breakfast, when i try to look at the information sheet, she give me a cold look and and crude tone “inside ur room have”. Then later when we approach for table tennis services, she like shouting to her colleague that need to charge us 1000 yen per hour. She could have said in a nice tone and manner instead of being so crude ! That make our stay a not pleasant experience
