NL Trastevere

Currently staying here and looking for a new hotel at midnight. I have stayed two nights and after the first night I was convinced there was bed bugs. I reported it to the front desk and got the most unsatisfactory reaction ever. The woman said “I have never heard anyone else say that”. This was such an inappropriate reaction that I was speechless. She asked if it was maybe a mosquito to which I said I didn’t see any mosquitos or hear them which you typically do. She said I was stuck with the room for the night because they were full and could move today. Thinking I was in the wrong I didn’t push the subject because she said she would have housekeeping come and disinfect for bed bugs (which if it was bed bugs and my stuff was in the room that would be an even worse problem for me). I was out since the early morning and never switched rooms. I come home to a room where I saw an ant on the bathroom floor, on the bedroom floor, and even in my bed. I don’t have photos because my immediate reaction was to smack them. Ant bites could potentially be what I have. Since staying here at least 15 bites have popped up on my body. Most of which are on my hands (which is not typically where mosquitoes bite). I had someone else witness the bug problem as well as the other various issues with the room. The sheets and towels almost always come with mystery stains, the wall near the door looks cracked/moldy/missing paint, the door is off the hinge at the bottom causing a large crack where anyone can see in from the hallway, the window does not fully shut, housekeepers turn of the AC when you’re gone so the mold smell is even worse when you come back, there’s wallpaper peeling off everywhere, the shower isn’t even big enough to lift my arms and wash my hair, the pillows are no better than airplane pillows, and the towels and sheets feel scratchy. Overall my skin is literally crawling, whether it be from actual ants on me which has happened or just the thought of it. For what I’m paying this experience has been absolutely awful. I will be attaching photos of almost all/if not all the things I mentioned including the cluster of bites I have all over my hands, arms, and legs.
