Stay many times during my 3 months in koh jum clean friendly Central booze bar and night market near by will be back soon

I always like to read other people's reviews to see what their (often unrealistic) expectations are when they choose a budget guesthouse. My room was 420baht a night. For that I had a large size room with plenty of space to spread out my belongings. Toilet paper and towel provided along with fresh bedding. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. Shower was slightly warm and ok. There was no AC but I'm not keen on AC so was happy with having a fan and opening the window. The window had a mosquito screen. The fan did squeak constantly but hey it's a budget room and you're a cheap arse backpacker trying to save every baht possible so put up with it. You could just about glimpse the river from the window but of you want to spend your day sitting on a hotel room staring at the river, then find another place and be prepared to pay a lot more. Staff were friendly. WiFi sometimes intermittent. Some traffic noise but not really anything else like bar music to disturb you. For the price I was happy with my 2 night stay and would return. Currency exchange conveniently situated in the lobby.

Room 2#, no A C 414 thai baht and bathroom outside the room, had to upgrade 150 baht more for room 1# total 594 Baht. And check out is at 11am so didn’t like it vary much. But awesome location. Must go up steps to get to room, if I know I could of just stayed any many close places hotel for 500 baht.. also front gate locks at 8-9pm, so if you come late or too early. Must lock and unlock just to go in or out the home stay. Must take shoes off before going upstairs, over price for what it’s is

A decent stay for the price. The rooms are clean and well presented and the shared bathrooms are also clean. The bedding provided is uncomfortable, it's quite coarse. The WiFi was good and stable. The service was friendly and helpful. But I found it a bit odd that the front door and shutters are locked every day at around 5/6 and remain locked all day on weekends. You're given a key to the padlock to let yourself in and out. The view out our window was the side of a building about 2 feet away which I understand is not really a fault but it wasn't great and the airflow was limited.
