The absolute best five star hotel in Rome. I spent two nights in the Grand Hotel. During my stay the cast and crew of the Love Boat were filming in Rome. I rode in the elevator with Ernest Borgnine and his lovely wife who were kind and gracious. I spent time on a chair in between floors reading a book and who other than John James from Dynasty came walking up the stairs. After exchanging pleasantry’s he continued to his floor. Also staying on our floor was a president from a foreign country with guards outside his door. I accidentally left my camera case with my passport in the trunk of a taxi dispatched from the hotel, the concierge called the driver back to the hotel to retrieve my camera case. Excellent location and great service.

This was an excellent hotel experience and a wonderful stay. It is the ONLY hotel that I have ever found where the walls had exceptional soundproofing. Not only did we not hear those in the hallways but even within the room the walls blocked the sound well. In fact I slept undisturbed while my husband showered. Sound was barely detectable. That is impressive! The hotel, food, accommodations and staff are impressive as well. The breakfast was generous and the bar drinks were served with olives, chips and nuts. The rooms were spacious and we were welcomed with champagne and water. The Concierge was of course very helpful, but the staff in general was even more helpful and thorough and always available. Someone was always there to call a taxi and open a door. I think this is my favorite hotel of all time.

This hotel takes the meaning of 5 stars to a different level. Amazing service, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Modern Italian architecture architecture (which I love) makes your stay memorable. The location is also good - only 10 minutes walk from the Spanish Stairs with lots of superb restaurants within 5 minutes walk. We will definitely come back to this hotel when back to Roma.

Not sure how this hotel is rated 4.5 star. Yes, the location is convenient and it has a nice facade but that is about it. Our rate included free breakfast which I ordered and simply never came. The shower was broken and spewing water all over the bathroom. Instead of moving us to another room they insisted they would “fix now” however that took over an hour and ultimately caused us to miss our dinner reservations. Upon check-in they gave us a “complimentary upgrade” as we were on our honeymoon however this amounted to a room on the first floor immediately above a disgusting alley and apparently the break area for employees...even though the room was hot (no AC), we could not leave the window open as the alley smelled horrible and had constant sounds of employees and cigarette smoke right outside the window. Not a pleasant stay at all.
