The host Didi and his wife were very helpful! Explained everything about Langkawi and answered all of our questions. Nice breakfast. Also want to mention the strategic location of this Lodge since it’s rather close to everything almost useful on the Island: airport, beaches in the east with some nice restaurants (seafood in particular), and duty free shops as well as less crowded and more comfortable, tremendous beaches in the north (we liked skull beach very much) and skybridge entertainment! So surely I would recommend to visit the Ocean lodge!

A fabulous night on route to Koh Lipe … so good we are returning next week. Didi and his lovely wife Nanthi treat you like family. Beautiful garden, clean room and the best omelette for breakfast ever! Our driver to ferry didn’t turn up so Didi drove us. A very special friendly cosy place to stay. I highly recommend

We spent only one night in the Ocean Lodge on our way from SG to Koh Lipe - and it was a very good experience. The owner, Didi, a German who came here more than a decade ago and his Thai wife are a very friendly couple and they clearly strive for making your stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms are very clean, have a well working AC but they are not spacious. My wife and I plus our 9yo son (he got an extra bed) just fit into the room. The lodge has 4 rooms in total. Bathroom have everything you need, incl. A hot shower, shampoo & towels. A minor problem with the water tap was fixed immediately. Breakfast was tasty and the omelette was great, same as the Bircher musli Rudi prepared. For general breakfast expect a selection with toast, butter, jam, coffee, tea, orange juice. We did not try or ask for Asian breakfast, but I guess there must be options if you ask the day before. Clearly another plus for the lodge: The location is great for those traveling to or coming from Koh Lipe. The airport is a 7 RM Grab ride (10 min) away, same as the Telaga Pier where the boats to Koh Lipe are leaving (10 min). You can enjoy the breakfast at the lodge and still catch the boat to Koh Lipe leaving at 9:30 am. There is a restaurant just a 5 min walk away, which I reviews in Google Maps as well. If you just need a cold beer or some cold soft drinks in the evening, you can get those at the lodge. In summary it was a great stay and next time we do a stopover on Langkawi, we will come back here.

It is actually a rental house. Feel like home here and DIDI, the owner of house, is very nice person with some strict rules. WiFi is fast, room size is capacious, very clean and comfortable. Price is high because you do not get many breakfast options, no shampoo, no water bottle every day even if you booked hotel for 4 days. Just first day, you get two water bottles. Coffee mate were found expired in room. To me, rates were high if we compare amenities compared with other hotels.
