The best food I’ve ever had in the Middle East is in this little village. It’s maybe a mile or two away from Petra the food is amazing. The rooms are amazing clean the people are more amazing. It’s really a must see and do village pools Jacuzzis the rest are the best pastry shops, the best buffets, if you’re ever in Jordan and you wanna go to Petra, that’s the place to stay. I will try to post some pictures.

I don’t leave reviews often, but I had to for this place. From the time we arrived, the service was absolutely incredible. We had a small (very small) issue with our room, and the staff was kind enough to upgrade our room to a better suite. They could not be more apologetic, which speaks volumes to the level of service here. Highly recommend. The pools are also incredible after a long day at Petra

A beautifully restored and sympathetically renovated hotel, set amongst parts of the original old Petra Village. We enjoyed a lovely night here after a hectic day visiting Petra itself. The facilities and room were superb; clean and spacious with extremely friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended for a 5* accommodation in Petra. Only 3* for its location as you will need a taxi/ lift to and from the entrance to the Petra Visitor Centre, but we preferred this as it offered peace and quiet, away from the crowds close to the Visitor centre.

Let's dispel some 'myths'. In judgments we need to be objective and intellectually honest: this hotel is not 5-star in general, not counting the mishaps we had. Positive aspects: location overall (ancient village entirely reconstructed overlooking Petra) and the swimming pools. Negative aspects: rooms are nice but certainly not excellent as expected from a 5-star hotel. Furnishings and comfort absolutely in the norm. The bathroom, on the other hand, a bit of a disaster: the shower is very difficult to use, you can't get a good shower in it. But let's come to what happened to us: as soon as we are escorted to the room, we heard a dull noise like a light bulb going out. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed black smoke coming from the electrical panel. We immediately contacted the reception which, instead of changing us immediately to another room, sent us back to the room with the faulty electrical panel with the service guy who set about repairing the electrical panel a little as he could. After more sparks, he told us that everything was 'safe'. We still reiterated that we wanted to change rooms and we had to insist again: fortunately, shortly after, the electrical panel blew again in the presence of the service guy (if he had not been there they probably would not have changed our room). With such happenings from a 5-star hotel one expects the best: the room had to be changed immediately, given the risk, without the need to insist and rehearse.
