Olive Garden Kabak

We just had a 3 night stay at Olive Garden. The site, swimming pool and restaurant are beautiful. The views are genuinely stunning. Credit to the staff who were consistently polite, friendly, attentive and helpful. All the food and drinks we had there were delicious. Lovely breakfast, and we had a great salt baked seabass for dinner one evening. We had a standard cabin which was cute, clean and comfortable, if a little rustic. A couple of things would help: thicker curtains to manage the light in the morning, and adding a little fridge to the room (it was so hot, having a way to chill water in the room would be great). Even tho non-guests can use the pool it wasn't a problem and there was plenty of space. We did go to the beach one day but it's quite basic there (parasols but no sun loungers for hire) I'd say it's more relaxing by the pool at Olive Garden. We'd definitely say here again.

We did not stay at this hotel, but only spent a few hours. We arrived by dolmuş from Fethiye. It goes every hour, and the whole journey takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. You have to look on the Google maps yourself where to get off, because the driver doesn’t know. Olive Garden is 2 minutes walk from the main road. When we arrived, it was already 13 o'clock. The hotel area was packed with Englishmen who had arrived in minibuses for 1 day. There is a swimming pool on site where you can spend the whole day if you order something in the restaurant. The British come in large, noisy groups for the restaurant and swimming pool. We couldn’t find any free sun loungers at 1 p.m. This didn’t upset us; we came for the sake of going down the path to the beach. The restaurant was also very crowded, but they found a table for us. The view from the restaurant is amazing! It's worth coming for it. The prices in the restaurant are slightly lower than in Fethiye, and the food is simply excellent! Very tasty, really! The path down to the beach starts right from the area behind the pool. No one walked along it except us; we did not meet anyone during the entire descent. The trail is easy, you can walk even with a child, but you need good sports shoes. The path is rocky. The descent takes 25 minutes in total. The second half of the journey is almost everywhere in shadow. There are no sun loungers on the beach. There is sand and copper stones. There are large stones in the water. Better to have shoes for shingle. For 100 liras you can rent an umbrella and sit under it on the mat. We didn't find it very comfortable. But the sea is a very beautiful color, like in Oludeniz. The market, a 2-minute walk from the beach, has free toilets and very nice showers. You can also change clothes there. There are taxi boats on the beach. We thought it would be good to return to Oludeniz by boat and asked the price. 3500 liras from Kabak to Oludeniz. We abandoned this idea. There is a nice bar on the beach with normal prices. We ate at a large restaurant right on the beach. Expensive and disgustingly tasteless. We don't recommend it. It is better to return to Olive Garden by taxi. It will probably cost 300 liras. If you return to dolmus, there are 2 options: either go to the dolmus stop up the hill for 10-15 minutes of a rather steep climb, or take a taxi to the dolmus for 200 liras. The last dolmush left at 19:00. After 1 hour 20 minutes of beautiful road we returned to Fethiye.
