Definitely the best and most elegant hotel in Norway’s west coast. Hotel in a historic landmark decorated with a warm design. My room # 310 was spacious, soundproof, very comfortable and cosy. Great bathroom. Breakfast choice was amazing with high quality local products. Staff was professional and most helpful. Very well managed property

Now I understand why Opus XVI are the highest rated hotel in my hometown Bergen! It´s not very often I am staying in a hotel in my hometown Bergen but this time my beautiful wife surprise me with a romantic dinner and stay at this top-rated hotel in the city centre of Bergen. Opus XVI Hotel has a perfect location in the heart of Bergen with walking distance to all the attractions and nice restaurants. Opus XVI is also a beautiful old-style hotel, charming and newly renovated (see my attached photos) with everything you need for your stay. Our beautiful deluxe corner room (no. 218) was very well appointed and spacious, equipped with everything you could want and plenty of towels. Scrupulously clean and perhaps the best bed for any hotel I have visited! The turndown service at night is really nice. The only downside was the underfloor heating that was to cold and not possible to adjust. The breakfast was excellent. There is a selection of cold food (buffet-style), and you get an a la carte menu at your table with hot meals made to order. On Sunday morning there was a pianist playing soft music - a very nice touch. Many of the products at breakfast are from local suppliers. Most of the bread from an ecological, local bakery and the eggs from a local farm. Having visited some of the Worlds' finest hotels, I can confidently say that Opus XVI ranks among the greatest. Opus XVI is member of “Small luxury hotels of the world” for a reason. A huge congratulation to the whole team at Opus XVI and keep up the hard work I know it is to keep the position as the highest rated hotel in my beautiful hometown Bergen.
