We are a family of three and we booked 2 deluxe rooms from Jan 2 to 8. Our stay at Panja Resort was only positive. The staff was friendly and accommodating; the rooms, albeit not the newest, were well maintained and cleaned everyday. The pool was big enough and enjoyable. The view from the restaurant and our balcony was stunning. We were offered a free massage and it was great. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory. In all, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at this hotel. We can recommend it and we will stay here again.

Had a great stay at Panya resort. We'd been travelling around the Philippines for 10 days straight and needed somewhere tranquil to rest before continuing our journey. Panya was perfect in that regard, it's location up on a hill with mountain and sea views is beautiful and it's very quiet. Despite being slightly out of Puerto princesa, you can book a number of tours directly from them with pickup. The pool and the massages were also excellent. Food could have used some improvement in quality and the breakfast isn't spectacular, but it's fine enough. Service was perfect and everyone was very friendly, unfortunately we had a slight problem at the end. I'd asked to pay for my room bill the night before leaving and was given a total then paid it, went to check out the next morning with no issues and then boarded my shuttle to the airport. Only when we were half way did the driver get a call to say that there was a portion of our bill that was unpaid. We either had to return to the hotel or give him the cash, which we had luckily. It did mean we didn't get a receipt for the extra charges and it would've been worse if we were short on time or didn't have the cash. Small hiccup in the grand scheme of things, and we still really enjoyed our stay and would return.

The hotel must have been really nice but it's now a bit old. The rooms are ok but you can really hear the noises around. Unfortunately for me, a big group was there to party all night and the staff never came to ask them to stop. The pool was not really clean, the food so so. The only good parts of this hotel is the view.

My stay at this resort was quite disappointing. Firstly, they failed to provide washcloths, offering hand towels instead,when I requested it. The restaurant had no desserts available, and their "shake" was more like juice. The spa experience was disappointing too. Despite having a valid 50% off coupon for two uses, they took it after just one session, ignoring my request to return it (or not understanding English). The mix-up regarding my massage preference - I wanted Swedish but received shiatsu - was compounded by an uncomfortable, squeaky massage bed that prevented any relaxation. Regarding the tour, while the van picked me up, it didn't drop me back at the resort and tried to get me a tuk-tuk ride that was charging 300php (not sure who they expected to pay for that), which was unexpected and unprofessional. I opted to walk to Robinson and arrange my own transport back. Overall, I was quite unhappy. Perhaps this place might suit those seeking a staycation, but even the views advertised weren't visible at ground level (pool), only from specific spots like rooms or the restaurant. While some customer service was good, the language barrier hindered effective communication with staff who weren't fluent. Edit 12/28/23: Also, I was here for 2 nights and the large dead bugs in the hallways were not swept.
