Pera Rose Hotel & SPA - Special Class

I chose this place because it was close to İstiklal Street, where I can join my other friends who were going to stay at Airbnb. The hotel was in a good location. The breakfast was fine. It has all the necessary items, but it was not serving Turkish breakfast items. My room was on level 3. It was very small. But it was clean. The view was not good. As you can see from the Google map, the surrounding area is not something special. My problem with this hotel was one of the receptionists who claim himself as the manager of this hotel. A fat, short and partially bald man who acted racist. I checked the reviews of this hotel and understood that a theft happened a week ago in one of the rooms. Since my room was so small and my things were found everywhere, I wanted to be there myself when my room was cleaned. So, I asked this receptionist to see if that could happen. He laughed at me, teased me, despised my request and asked whether I was married or not and how old I was! When asked the reason why he is replying to my request with these questions, he labelled me as a fussy person who have unreasonable demands. Though I told him that he acted rude and he shall have in a better manner with the guests, all the time I was there, I was crossed with this behaviour. He, the one who thought he was a cute person, did understand his wrong act, sent up the housekeeper to my room and wanted to change my room in order to make up for his cheap move. Anyhow, I heard from other guests that his behaviour toward them was rude as well. I hope that the REAL manager will eventually read this review and rethink to fix this problem. Ignoring this person, the location of this hotel is good. The other staff are friendly, the breakfast is fine but not perfect. The hotel building is old. Do not expect a great view. A black skin lady is sitting outside talking to somebody invisible. But on a good point, if you are lost in the street, this person is the sign showing that this is your hotel. That is it! --- In response to dear owner, no, he did not offered me a breakfast in my room as we had no conversation about the breakfast. Also, he did not told me anything about sb entring my room with my identity. What I wrote in my review was the exact thing happens between us. You will see in future his behaviour towards other guests if you still believe what he told you was the truth. Good luck!

Beware of this hotel as an American. The housekeeper went into our rooms and STOLE ALL OF OUR CASH (see picture below of woman). When confronted nothing was done. We never got any of the stolen money back. All of the Pera hotels are in on this scam. Do not come here or trust any of the people here. Rooms and dirty. Arfan did nothing to help.
