Phaos Santorini Suites

I came with my friend to santorini as a last minute destination before leaving athens, it was for 2 nights during the month of January. The staff were super helpful, respectful and knowledgeable of the island. It was a great experience and hopefully might visit again. I will add two pictures of the room and a couple of the sunsets and sunrises, breathtaking.

Below is my response to their reply. My original review follows after. Actually they didn’t explain about the safe walkway at all. I asked the staff if they have any map around hotel or not. She said “we don’t have a map, use google map on your mobile”. That’s it and she didn’t explain about anything around the hotel. This is the fact. For Jacuzzi, it seems that water was replaced due to cleaning. I believe the water temperature in the Jacuzzi should be set at a suitable temperature in advance for ease of use by guests, but they said it was inevitable that the water was cold because they had cleaned and changed the water. Furthermore, the water did not heat up very well, so I checked various things and discovered that the switch to heat the water was not turned on. In spite of this fact, they did not try to understand what I was saying and justified that they were not in the wrong. As you can see in their reply, they don’t respect me and just try to justify they are right. As for dog, I understand their stance. Unfortunately there will be no improvement in the future. I basically post positive review only but this case I cannot stop myself to post negative review because of my bad experience with them. Maybe it was simply a bad match between my family and this hotel. Some may feel the same way we do and some think they are a great hotel. I am making the following negative comments only as my own personal opinion. It is up to the reader to decide how to take it. (Original review) Totally disappointed, room, service, breakfast and the location everything. I want to rate "zero" for them actually. I will never stay this hotel again. Staff: very rude and unprofessional. They don't apologize their mistake at all and always justify what they do is right. Location: Bit far from Thira and not safe to walk from there. You must rent a car. Pay attention that you cannot see the sunset as all the rooms are directed to east. If you wish to see the sunset, you have to walk up to Imerovigli town it may take more than 5 min. Breakfast: very poor. Just thin toast, cheese, ham and non fresh fruits. They even charge additional 3 euros for coffee. Only tea and orange flavored juice are included. Room: Jacuzzi was not properly working and the water temp was kept cold, this is totally their mistake. I pointed out but the staff didn't apologize at all and told me that it is normal. Others: Dog coming from outside from the hotel is staying and they let the dog to continue staying. He (or she) wanted to play with me and my little son (5 years old) but he cannot control himself as he is still maybe 6 months old something. My son likes a dog but actually he was scared of it as he was chased by the dog even the dog just wanted to play with my son. If they are not able to manage the dog, they should make effort to eliminate it. They respect the dog rather than the hotel guest.
