The ambiance was good. More of a homely family kind so personally it was lovely to have the kids around. The kids menu portions are too much for little ones under 4. Their starter hake was a hit with the toddlers. Staff was very accommodating of the special requirements for the kids

Such a beautiful lodge. Quiet and cozy, but no room TV. Loved the room's cozy feel, and the bed slept great. The mosquito nets around the bed were a nice touch, and having the ceiling fan above the bed and the air conditioning unit was marvelous. I loved how big the room and the bathroom were as i never felt crowded. There is a pool, well maintained grounds, the food and drinks are good and the wait staff friendly and helpful. I loved our stay at the lodge, although food service was occasionally quite slow but good.

Discrete from street view, when you arrive you’re welcomed into a home away from home. The staff was kind, courteous, with excellent attention to detail. The rooms are beautifully designed, and the landscaping well mannered! I enjoyed the sweet honeysuckle smell when entering/exiting my room. My evening swims with the resident ducks brought much joy! Each morning the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Great coffee, which is a category for me! My family loved Victoria Falls, but Pioneer Lodge is a special place on its own. I can’t wait to come back!! Cheers from Texas. ❤️

We were SO pleasantly surprised by how much we loved Pioneers! The rooms were superb and air conditioned (perfect for the super hot weather we experienced), the service was wonderful, the people professional, polite and went out of their way to be helpful to our family in so many ways…wow!!! I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! We’ll never stay anywhere else in Vic Falls!😄🙌 PS: The food was great too!! Thank you!!
