Do not stay here. Terrible little hotel in an unsafe neighbourhood. We walked past homeless people foraging through trash they'd pulled out of dumpsters, thieves selling stolen goods on towels/sheets on the street, and vehicles with parts stolen off them. The room itself is basically the size of the bed. The bathroom is tiny, you can't spread your legs on the toilet because the shower is right there next to you. The basin is tiny. The shower wasn't good either and was probably never cleaned. One of the towels provided was dirty and we asked for a replacement that never came, then called reception again and they said we'd have to go down to get it from them because they only have 1 staff member on at all times (I assume except during check-out cleaning). No tissues provided. It's cheap and close to the port but not worth it. The ferry isn't worth it either - fly directly to whatever Greek island you're going to first then ferry between them.

We needed a place close to the port due to the trip we had. The closest yet most affordable space was the Piraeus Port Hotel! Staff is very friendly and also helpful! We felt that there was no language barrier and also had the most pleasant breakfast before we needed to go to the MSC, they were also very willing to help with baggage storage and give good advance on where to go for some site seeing! Will make use of them again if we go to Greece in the future!

After a long flight, Piraeus Port Hotel was just what we needed. The location was perfect – right by the port for our early ferry the next morning, hot running water, AC working well, and a comfortable big bed. We also had a patio, which was simply lovely after traveling for many hours and the fact that there was a 24-hour desk was a perfect touch. Piraeus is not a fancy hotel by any stretch but is at an amazing price and has all the essentials. We were incredibly happy with our stay!

Great little hotel. Don’t expect the Ritz and you’ll be fine :) FYI, the lift is very small and it good for those who are claustrophobic. The area around the hotel is mostly residential and looks a bit rough but there’s plenty of transport links nearby, a decent shop/bakery, kebab shop and supermarket all within 4 minute walk. Reception staff are the most helpful and pleasant (Kristina I think was her name!) Can be reached easily from airport using X96 bus, train or car. I took the bus for €6 and took around 90 minutes.

The entire booking process was made very easy. Questions were answered promptly, and staff were very accommodating. Even when booking.com messed up, the hotel staff were responsive and accommodating. The hotel is 9 minutes drive from the port and 38 minutes drive or 1 hour train from Athens Airport. Upon entry, you're greeted with refreshing aircon and a seating and non-smoking bar area to the left. On the right is the reception area. We were greeted by Lia, and it was nice to put a face to the name of my messages. Information was checked, and the room key was received. We were extremely grateful that our room was ready as we arrived earlier than the usual check-in time. This was a bonus as we were extremely tired. We were most impressed with the level of hygiene at this hotel. Everything was absolutely spotless. The toilet had a seal on it, stating it had been sanitised. The towels were in a sealed bag. The room was modern and had a mini refrigerator, along with a range of complimentary hot drinks. We even had a balcony to relax on. Breakfast is on the 1st floor and costs €10pp. Cute space. There is an elevator, but the stairs are good too. There is also a 'left luggage' storage space for after check out or before check-in. This came in useful as we were able to use our time to explore more before our late flight. Staff were knowledgeable and provided recommendations on restaurants and tours. Thanks, Christina. Apologies to the male staff as there were no name tags, and I forgot to get your names. Customer service was consistent and of high standard by all we interacted with. Out of the 3 hotels we've stayed on this trip, this was by far the best budget hotel. We would happily take and stay here again.
