Location only 5 min drive from downtown Estes but is still remote enough you can’t hear any traffic. Host was very polite and nice, he even let us check out late with no fee. Hot tubs open all night too right next to the river, very beautiful and peaceful. Would stay again! And we loved Aspen too

The staff was just awesome. The manager Darrell was excellent and my son loved his dog Aspen. The rooms were great. They have their own fireplace and everything one needs to start a fire. We had a valcony overlooking the river which was very nice. The room had a small kitchen with all kinds of pots and pans for your cooking. The utensils and plates were all very clean and they even had steak knives. They also have an outdoor grill if you wanted to cook outside. The room also have a nice table for 4 which is great. Many hotels don't give you that. The water pressure onnthe shower was great too. The only negative was the round toilets since we are used to the elongated ones. Well, my stay was awesome and would love to go back.

Ponderosa was a cozy stay! We stayed there during a snowstorm that fell a little earlier than expected. Overall the rooms are clean and comfy, water heats up pretty fast, wifi is good, and people all around are nice! Another guest even made french pressed coffee! Just wish they'd give us a bit more accessories to warm up food and dine (there weren't any plates or silverware at the room but the reception handed us a nice set we asked).

The Ponderosa Lodge may be my favorite place we have ever stayed! My wife and I were on a little road trip adventure and decided to spend a few nights in Estes Park. I stumbled across The Ponderosa through a search on an app. We fell in love just by the look and description! We stayed two nights in a kitchenette suite and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Comfortable bed, cozy room, and everything we could possibly need! A cast iron stove to start a fire with easy lighting instructions and plenty of wood made us feel right at home. The river running outside was one of my favorite parts of the stay. Having a cup of coffee listening to the water run while sitting on the balcony of our room was one of the best parts of our trip. Plenty of places to relax by the water and even a grill to cook out on! The location of the Ponderosa is amazing. It was unbelievably close to Rocky Mountain National Park and also perfectly located to check out every part of downtown Estes Park! Tons of parking, easy to find, check in/out was a breeze. I could continue listing all of the highlights of this beautiful place all day but I can’t forget to mention the best part about the joint, Katie! She was so sweet and helpful throughout the whole stay! Even left us some freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in our room! (They were delicious of course.) Katie really made the entire experience an absolute delight for us! When we come back to Estes Park, we don’t even have to think where we’re staying. The Ponderosa Lodge is the only choice for us!
