We came to eat for our cruise ship excursion and and it reminded me of a hotel struggling to bring in money in any way possible. Everything looks very tired and the food was barely mediocre. I would give this place a hard pass when looking for a hotel. Staff are tired looking and don't even attempt to interact. Restrooms do have western style toilets and paper towels, but that it really grasping for good things. The bathroom attendant handing me paper towels aggressively really left a bad taste as it is not normal under Chinese culture. This should not be like Mexico :(

This is a review of the opera theater, not of the hotel itself. It's a great cultural experience, but one that requires some preparation to better appreciate. The most obvious thing is the voices: the traditional high-pitched tones used by the actors will be jarring to a viewer who is not expecting them (and maybe even still a little off-putting to one who is). I also recommend trying to be familiar with the story of the piece ahead of time, so that you can concentrate on the visual aspects during the performance, because those are the most interesting part.

The wifi is pretty slow and crashes sometimes, otherwise it's great. The rooms can be very hot, and the air conditioner doesn't seem to do any difference at all, it's still too hot even if it have been set to 10°C for a few hours. The breakfast have a lot of different variations every day. Both regular forks & chop sticks is available
