Beautiful hotel. Great room dominated by king size bed. Excellent view of St George's and the city. Little storage but fine for a couple of nights. Very Good bathroom and shower. Bar/Restaurant a little too expensive so very quiet. £14 for 1 pint of larger and a wine. But Wetherspoons right next door, in the same building, so you can choose the contrasting level of sophistication you want. Very pleasant staff but a business needs to be doing more on a Saturday night.

The decor is dark, the corridor and rooms are dark although beautifully decorated and really comfortable. Fabulous bed, duvet and linen but a good night's sleep was hindered by people noise outside as my room so close to the station. Great breakfast, excellent service, great location, I loved everything other than the gloomy light and the outside noise.

Certainly in a splendid location. You cannot argue with that. Booked via an external site, thinking I had booked a double room with a double bed. When we got into the room it was two single beds. Their beds email confirmation link they sent the previous day had crashed when I confirmed we wanted a king size double. We'd had a long journey so put up with it. Apart from that, just not my thing to be honest. Themed rooms and colours everywhere. A black bin by a black wall you can't see in duller light... Staff in themed uniforms..Not for me. My partner loved all that, though. Breakfast was good and rooms clean and well equipped in general - apart from a fridge you can't put a wine bottle in! A beautiful building with a fine history, that for me, would be best presented as a more traditional hotel. If you like the relentless 'Hi Guys' 2020s thing, though, you will probably love it.
