Very basic desert camp at Wadi Rum. No electricity supply till check in time if you arrive early.It gave us warmth in the cold winter nights.. Good sleep. No drinking water, shower or floor towel. If you can live with that, its a beautiful place. Has its own sand dune where you can play slides. Lovely Bedouin dinner at night. Breakfast was simple and adequate... Omelette made to order

Pre erected sturdy canvas rooms with double bed, and bathroom with shower. Camp provides evening meal which was a vast array of salads , pasta , rice and vegetable dishes which accompanied chicken cooked Bedouin style in a pot in the ground. Food was plentiful and tasty. Choice of two desserts one blancmange type with sultanas in and a rather lovely cake with coconut and pistachio steeped in a light syrup. Coffee and tea were available at extra cost. Please note although the camps website claims they have abar they only sell zero alcohol beer . This is one of many camps at Wadi Rum and some of the newer ones are certainly very deluxe. This one is comfortable, there was a classical guitarist playing near the outside seating area and there was a campfire with plenty of seating. Many activities available at a price including camel rides, jeep tour of the area ( worth doing) hot air ballooning, night walks in the desert etc. Reasonable stop for one night and an interesting experience as landscape is very beautiful and climbing a sand dune is a character building experience. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. However a note of caution , the area is fast becoming a victim of it's own success, with more camps springing up all the time. This has led to light pollution which spoils the dark sky status the Wadi once had

Amazing desert camp in the middle of Wadi Rum nestled beside a high rock formation. Very comfortable accommodation and good food. Spectacular night skies .

The Wadi Rum desert is (unfortunately) lined with camps, you will see many on the way when driving in, often in each others range if view. This camp is neatly tucked away between rock formations without those pesky camps in direct view. There is both an man-made viewpoint that you can reach by stairs, but it’s even better to climb the 30m rock formation from there to give you a much wider view (look around and you may find the stone overhang under which you can light a small fire and view the sunset). Due to the tense situation in the neighboring countries we were only 3 in the whole camp, which severely limited options and entertainment. Although understandable, this was disappointing. The staff were still friendly enough, the food well prepared and the tents clean. One major downturn, and this goes for all of Wadi Rum: it is part of a very busy flight route (even more so now that planes steer clear of other territories). We had planes loudly passing over every twenty minutes or so… in the middle of the night.
