We stayed here for two nights and had the canoe, nature walk, bird watching, jeep safari, Tharu cultural dance and elephant breeding center tours done through here. We also came with their tourist bus from Pokhara to Chitwan. I’ll break down our experiences and comment on them accordingly: Bus ride - Long but comfortable, friendly staff, lots of stops with good food and clean bathrooms on the way. Pick up - Very smooth with a dedicated pickup truck and driver with sign. Food - I wasn’t a big fan of their “Western menu” that they immediately offer non-Nepali and non-Indian tourists as it was bland but their food overall was filling and delicious. They’re more than happy to provide refills and tea/coffee. Just make sure to tell them you want the Nepali menu if you want the really good stuff. Beer is also available. Rooms - Their rooms could really use a makeover. Overall they were fine and the bed was certainly comfortable but everything was pretty dusty with streaks of dust on the linen, the sink and the mirror being particularly worn down and the quilts in the wardrobe being very dusty. Facilities - There’s a little courtyard with two hammocks, trees and a gazebo with seats. Very nice. Tours - All were well organized, timed and paced. Staff - The absolute highlight of this place. Very friendly, kind, attentive and generous. Our guide, Zaya (might have misspelled the name), the waiter (this guy was the absolute best), the manager and the owner were all exceptional and made up for any issue we might have faced. The only weak link was our tour guide for the jeep safari as he wasn’t very talkative. Departure - They were able to organize our bus to Lumbini without any issues. Overall, our stay was quite nice and we had a great time. It would’ve been perfect if the rooms were cleaner and we could choose if we wanted to go Nepali or Western for our meals.

This is a place to recommend. If you are not after a 5 star hotel with a swimming pool and spa. Then look no further. Romesh and his team will be curtain to look after you. From arranging a jeep safari to the cultural village visit. The guides they use have great knowledge.

This is a really reasonably priced resort offering all the activities popular in Chitwan - canoe ride, safari, Tharu cultural experience, etc. The staff and owner are very attentive and friendly. All meals are provided and are of a good standard. Rooms are set around a nice garden to chill out in. Rooms are a good size and clean, showers are warm and have a good pressure.

We booked a two night stay at the last minute in Pokhara. We were so pleased we did! The room was large, and the air conditioning was appreciated in the heat. The staff at Rainbow Safari Resort are all outstanding: friendly, attentive and generally great. The ABSOLUTE highlights were the staff: our guide, Ziya (not sure about the spelling) was informative, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We are interested in birdwatching, so really appreciated his knowledge. I have forgotten the name of the man who greeted us and served us during each meal, but he also was friendly and very attentive. The food was great - there was more than enough, and it was just delicious. We really enjoyed our brief stay in Chitwan thanks to the people who work at Rainbow Safari Resort.
