Can’t recommend this more if staying in Naples. Max, the host is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are in excellent condition, extremely comfortable, quiet and the best air conditioning I’ve ever experienced in Italy. The rooftop terrace offers amazing views out to the bay of Naples - perfect when enjoyed with some local wine. Thank you Max, we hope to return in the future.

Wonderful hotel right in the centre of Napoli. Near enough to the bustle, but quiet enough for a great night sleep. Well kept rooms and plenty of amenities. Max couldn't have been more accommodating, he really went above and beyond. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic secret to escape the streets and enjoy some cracking views of the scenery. We will recommend to all of our friends and family visiting Napoli.

Excellent location in the heart of historic Naples. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds, air conditioning and a nice large private bathroom. Our host was most gracious and kind and worked hard to ensure our satisfaction. The rooftop terrace provides a nice panoramic view of the city and Mt Vesuvius. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel with 6 modern, nicely appointed rooms and a scenic rooftop terrace. Unbeatable location directly in the heart of historic old Naples. Though the area is extremely lively (with numerous eateries, shopping and people), the hotel is a quiet oasis amidst the bustle. Massimiliano ("Max"), the owner/manager, couldn't be kinder and was a terrific host. Loved our stay here and dream of coming back. So many great memories of Naples and very happy we chose Relais San Severo. PS - be sure to take a few of the 5 cent coins from Reception Desk. You need them to operate the elevator :)

The clerk was very nice and always helpful. I can't say enough about how pleasant he was each day. The hotel has lots of character, but looks as though it has been remodeled recently . It sits within a courtyard off the main street. The rooms are nicely decorated, have adequate space for 1-2 people and each room had air conditioning. The mattresses are very firm, which I like but may not be ok for everyone. There was also a very small balcony that looked out over a green space below. The rooftop seating area has lovely views day and night. We also saw there is a hot tub on the rooftop, but It was covered. We were there early October, so probably out of season to operate it. As soon as you walk out of the courtyard of the hotel there are cafe's, stores, street vendors and restaurants everywhere. The street is busy, but once inside the hotel or on the rooftop you don't hear any street noise. I would definitely recommend if you can get a reservation. It only has 6 rooms and they fill up quickly.
