We stayed here for six nights. Perfect location in Midtown Manhattan and about a 10 minute walk from Penn Station. Steps away from restaurants, cafés, and a supermarket. As with other Renaissance hotels, the atmosphere is upbeat and chic. If you’re an elite member expecting a full breakfast, you may want to make other plans. They do offer a continental breakfast, with limited items. I was offered a room towards the top floor, however, I was advised by hotel staff there could be noise from the nightclub. I decided to take a room on one of the lower floors. Beautiful property. Highly recommended if you’re considering.

First and foremost, the beautiful view from the hotel was impressive. From a high floor, we had the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Manhattan. The nighttime skyline was particularly mesmerizing, as the twinkling lights created a magical atmosphere. Regarding the location, being in the center of Manhattan was incredibly convenient. We were within walking distance of many iconic landmarks, shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. It made exploring the city and experiencing its vibrant energy effortless. The hotel itself was also exceptional. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, and the staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. The amenities offered, such as a fitness center and a rooftop bar, added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Overall, our stay at this hotel exceeded our expectations.. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City.

This is our 2nd time at this property. Our second visit this time is much better due to the service. We were warmly greeted when we checked in by Phoenix! We had 4 room reservations and he was able to get our rooms assigned in a timely manner when we arrived early before the check in time. The lobby is very warm and inviting with festive decorations and we had happy hour every evening! We definitely will come back!

Nice lobby, but I don't sleep and shower in the lobby. Hot water in is only warm, and I was immediately cold when i turned off the water and stepped out to dry off. I called the front desk for more coffee mid afternoon and was told it was no problem, and that they would run it up immediately. Four hours later, I called again and this time it did show up. I arrived late Sunday night, and upon checkin was told that there was a club on the higher floors and I would be housed a few floors lower to avoid any carryover noise. That was fine, but when I entereed the room and opened the bathroom door, there was a strong smell of weed. Maybe the ventilation systems was bringing it in from the club? No sure, but it was there. The floor in the room is carpet rather than the recently, more common hard surfaces. I always question carpet in metropolitan areas where walking is common. I imagine the vacuuming doesn't get rid of the horrible things your and other guests' shoes have tracked into the room. In closing, it would take a lot for me to stay here again or recco it. Sorry. Again, nice, cool lobby.

Spent a memorable weekend at R Chelsea this past weekend celebrated my birthday with my toddler son along amazing NYC city corner room view. Hotel manager Paul Li and his team are very thoughtfully beforehand. I received welcome email before arrival with local restaurants, bakeries and fun things to do list recommendations attached which is definitely helpful to plan the trip. R is located within short walk distance to high line ( my favorite) and Chelsea market, you can tell by its unique artistic interior design. I got upgraded to 30th floor with view, totally loved it! Not really bothered by the noise that I saw from other reviews mentioning the nightclub at rooftop. Staffs are kind and professional, well informed the daily resort fee so as be able to apply to hotel expenses, breakfast has good variety of choices. Can’t wait to go back again!
