Beds are comfy and the view of the river is fun. I have been to this hotel many times. The hotel staff are nice, but the services are declining. Valet and bell staff are disorganized and not what it used to be. The Shore restaurant used to be our go to place, but this time we couldn't find anything we wanted to eat on their menu. And being a rewards member, no breakfast on the weekends. They used to give vouchers for the restaurant. I guess I'm just disappointed it's not what it was just a couple years ago.

This was a great choice and we have loved staying here. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and comfortable. Great selection of restaurants and bars within the property and close by as well. Room service was prompt and delicious, and views of the river and mountains from the room was great. Definitely would return next time we're in town. (Included pic of room service menu)

My husband and I had the privilege of having our wedding reception here, and it was absolutely perfect, amazing, and affordable! So if you're looking for a great venue, this is your place! Additionally, we got to stay two nights in this wonderful place and it was delightful! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms are very quiet and comfortable, and it's very dog friendly as well! This hotel is wonderful in general, but especially if you're looking for something a little more upscale but close to everything. Give them a shot, you'll be happy you did!

I stayed at this hotel on 6 January 2026 - the reservation was for a single night but as a snowstorm came through, all roads out of Reno were closed. The hotel staff was amazing in extending my reservation for an additional night and making my stay absolutely wonderful . The hotel is conveniently located downtown and near Trader Joe's, CVS, and various other 'necessary' shopping for out-of-towners. In addition, the hotel is located by the Truckee River and the bar patio has a lovely area (when it isn't snowing) to enjoy a lovely evening of sundowners. The entire hotel staff, that I worked with, including - Mel (valet - who scraped ice/snow from the windscreen & warmed my car, David & Chloe at the front reception desk, Rory at the coffee bar (who makes an incredible flat white coffee) and John the maintenance engineer, were SO amazingly helpful, gracious, and accommodating - I can wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend staying at this facility when in Reno.

If you are looking for a place that doesn’t smell like smoke and slot machines making noise all the time, this is the place to go. The have a nice bar, lots of art all over, view of the river on the patio, and a Bocce Ball court that is fun for all ages. The valets are the best. They really provide great for a welcoming experience. They will even warm your car up for you on the cold mornings. But, there is one thing I want to call out to help them improve on. The concierge lounge was weak. The had nothing out for happy hour or even cookies that you come to expect in the evening.
