Residenza Molinari Suite&Rooms

This is a backpackers described as something else. We booked 4 nights here but checked out after 1 night as this place was unliveable. They also refused to refund any of the 3 nights we weren’t going to be staying there. Offered to refund the small city tax they weren’t entitled to after we left as we are paying it now at a different hotels. Also offered a voucher instead of a refund knowing we wouldn’t be able to honour it as we live in Australia. My advice… don’t trust the provider “Banby” who manages the Residenza properties! We feel so ripped off from this experience and I’m sure they are going to respond to this review dismissing our experience with this property and their misleading listing on Booking.com Here’s the list of what what wrong after just one night in this property: - Noise proofing is not a reasonable standard. We were kept awake all night by rubbish trucks, street sweepers and reversing trucks. The crowd and restaurant noises we could take because you know it will be done by a reasonable time. Bottle collection at 3am followed by numerous street sweepers for hours was so bad. - Spiders in the room. One was on the bed when we got there. Lots of nests ready to hatch also. I have arachnophobia so this was a big one for me. (Photo of nests attached… these were in every corner of the room) - Stained sheet on bed. (In photo attached) - Rooms very close together… connected with a very narrow hallway… complete lack of privacy. - Smelly bathroom with poor ventilation so the whole room would smell each time we came back after being out for a while. You had to remove the key from the power to leave the room so it was also very stuffy each time you came back. - Security concerns due to window doors not fully closing and close proximity to other rooms. - Smoking in stairwell of building - they claimed it wasn’t a hotel but a BnB… I’ve stayed at BnBs across Italy and they are very different to this… no breakfast provided for example. - Greeted by a stack of toilet paper at the check in desk (in photo) - Room picture on booking.com looked very different to what we actually got - way smaller, no couch, no balcony. - there was a window with doors… not a balcony - Water pressure is terrible… it was a trickle so couldn't to wash properly. - Only 1 set of keys. We either had to go everywhere together or one person needed to stay behind to let the other person in… Some of these issues would have been fine to deal with or minor if one offs but there were so many issues!
