Stayed here for 4 nights, the room was lovely and the staff were very friendly. We were greeted at the drop off point and then given an explanation of everything to visit and directions as well as some tea and biscuits. The Wi-Fi was a little slow but not really very important. The breakfast was always good and came with fresh orange juice and some kind of pancake. The terrace is also lovely to sit on and relax. It is about a 15 min walk to the centre so not completely central but still a good spot.

Wonderful experience The Riad is just 15 min from the Main square in the Medina, in a quiter area. It is down a street off the main sreet. In the beginning I was scared but I just realized after the first day that the people here don't hassle to sell and the Riad is nearby a Hamman, which gives to the small street some movements. The Riad is a hidden gem: clean and confortable far from the crowd centre perfect to escape and relax. The staff is always available for any requests. I arranged with them the transfer from and to the airport and at the arrival i was welcomed with mint tea and local pastries while they explained what to visit in the city, how to get in the main square and many tips. They can improve the map which unfortunately is not very clear. The room in the marrocan style was beautiful and clean. Even if there wasn't a lock at the door i felt safe to leave the door open during the day when i was visiting the city. In the room there is everything you need, safe included. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working properly which i was a bit annoyed because for a turist is quite important. Breakfast was great, slightly different everyday with marrocan pankakes and crepes. I really enjoyed this place because I felt peace in it. The small staff team is available for any requests and they are always frendly and polite. Highly reccomend! I will visit it again!

What a fantastic, Lovely Riad in the heart of Marrakech. My wife and I chose this Riad for our 2nd wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. The staff were smiley, friendly and helpful. Room cleaned with fresh towels and bed sheets each day and in general the whole place was spotless. On arrival we were given a map with all the main points of interest noted and a brief do’s and don’t’s of the city. Although we didn’t need to ask (until we got home and found out my wife left her phone at the Riad ) I felt nothing was too much hassle for the staff. Before we traveled both my wife and I emailed the Riad with both getting a reply the same day. This is a beautiful piece of tranquillity and a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle from our day exploring the city. If you want to experience the pure Moroccan culture then this is the place to stay. Highly recommend!

We chose this riad for two reasons, because of the wonderful reviews and because of the location. We wanted to be in the old part of Marrakech to experience the culture and the people and we weren’t disappointed. The riad is down a side street off the Main Street of the area. During the day the street is full of life. Local people selling fruit vegetables, a gentleman with a loom making scarves, children playing and the general bustle of life. The people said bonjour when we passed, nobody in this area hassled us to buy from them and the area felt safe and friendly. When we arrived we were met from our taxi, given mint tea and a map of the area. Time was taken to talk with us about what we might like to see and do during our stay. We were very grateful for this and the advice and map we were given proved to be very useful on several occasions. Nothing was too much trouble and all of our questions were answered fully. Our room was small but beautiful, had air conditioning and was immaculate as was the rest of the riad. The bed was firm and comfortable and after a day walking around the city I had no problem sleeping! The room was cleaned every day with clean towels and bedding. We felt bad as we are so messy! Everything was kept to a very high standard. Breakfast was slightly different each day with bananas, cream cheese, jam, honey and French bread offered alongside traditional Moroccan breads and pancakes. The roof terrace is lovely. You are able to smoke up there and we enjoyed talking to other guests in the seating area. I cannot fault the staff at all. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. I have forgotten my phone and they are arranging to have to sent back to me! They were friendly, hospitable, helpful, welcoming and just generally lovely. Overall we were made to feel so welcome and staying here helped to make our break in Morocco one to remember and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a side of Marrakech you just wouldn’t see staying in any other area. Thank you all for making our anniversary so special x

We really cannot recommend Riad Shaden highly enough. The staff were so helpful, from arranging our airport transfer, to helping us organise excursions with their lovely driver Abdul, and cooking us traditional home cooked dinners in the evenings. We did the in-house cookery lesson which was a great experience, Said took us shopping for the ingredients in the local market and then Saadia and Sanaa showed us how to cook the most amazing tagines. The location of Riad Shaden is perfect, situated at the end of a residential cul de sac, where you are truly immersed in local life and culture, yet only a 15 minute walk to the square. The roof terrace is a lovely quiet place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, and the rooms are all well appointed, with air conditioning. We would not hesitate to recommend Riad Shaden to anyone looking for a real Moroccan experience, and we hope to return ourselves one day.
