I'm incredibly disappointed with our community for giving this place a 4.4 review. The rooms were far from clean. We had to change our room due to hair being everywhere—on the bed, behind the sink, and on the floor. Even after changing rooms, I couldn't feel entirely clean. The only room with a full view of the shrine had '08 in them, and that's what ours had. The only positives were the location and the view. Apart from that, I can't understand why anyone would want to stay at this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay, excellent value. An older facility as there is a Richmond Premiere across the street where our friends stayed. However, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The front desk area is small and there isn't a lobby. Nevertheless it is centrally located adjacent to large shops l Iike Uniqlo and Don Quixote. Also within a short walk from the Tsukuba Express Asakusa subway station, Senso-ji (temple) and Nakamise shopping street. Double room was clean and comfortable but small. On the weekend, the area was closed to traffic as the tourist crowd used the area to shop or hangout.

I spent 10 days in Tokyo at three different hotels and Richmond Hotel in Asakusa was my absolute favourite. I booked the room with the gorgeous view of the senso-ji temple and skytree and I absolutely enjoyed my stay even more because of it. I also loved hearing the temple bells rung by monks at 6AM. Hotel is within walking distance to everything you need ie. 24-hr donki lol. And of course, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, and even some quieter gardens. Hotel room was clean, space-efficient meaning though it was quite compact, each furniture or amenity was properly placed. Hotel breakfast was also very good! One of the chefs was so friendly and made sure I was properly taken care of. He also encouraged me to toast the melon pan, which was one of the highlights of my trip 😋 my only issue was being woken up every morning consistently around 5:30am by banging, I assume it was the staff starting their day. I wish they could be a bit more considerate with the noise at that time of the day. Arigatou gozaimasu! 🏮
