I stayed with infant and dog. Bandy and dog received all needed equipment (bed, towel etc. dog received also his towel and sleeping blanket). I requested room service because my baby would be patient in the rest for 4-meals. Because it was so stress free, I asked also the second day for room service for breakfast. Hotel is very friendly in particular to baby and dog. My son enjoyed the warm pool very much and from hotel room we had only 3 minutes! :-)

Good restaurant, nice breakfast buffet. The staff is very nice and helpful. No complaints there at all. Great job. The great spa is conveniently connected to the hotel. Rooms are ok but don't think about sleeping in as walls are paper thin. If your neighbour watches tv, you do to. Also when they make up the rooms around you you hear everything.

I spent two nights at Rigi Kaltbad and this was my favorite experience in a two week holiday in Switzerland. My kids are still raving about the wonderful breakfast buffet. We opted for the half board and enjoyed the dinners provided. The hikes from the hotel are very easy to access and they are paved for those of us who do not like to scramble. I loved this place. It was quiet, blissfully cool, and idyllic. Warning: this is not a luxury hotel. The rooms were basic but the setting and spa makes up for everything.

Overall a rather good hotel. Good points are a great view, access to easy trails on top of the mountain, and direct access to the wellness. Also, it's close to the train station. And the fact that this area is not accessible by car makes the area totally silent at night. I'll also add a personal good point for the personal to accommodate a rather quiet room at my demand. Because otherwise the hotel was rather filled with families and noisy kids. And while the walls were thick, they couldn't block 100% of other rooms' sounds. So, accommodating for me a quiet room was very nice of the staff. Thanks a lot for that. The breakfast was pretty nice for a Swiss hotel. It had vegetables and fruits, which some other hotels with three stars or more can't pretend to offer, despite not being on top of a mountain. And the restaurant for dinner offers decent to good meals. And the wellness is nice, even though it's a bit small. But it has two warm baths, a damp bath, a cold bath and a Finnish sauna. And massage rooms. No need for more to enjoy a day of relaxation. About less positive points, the second restaurant, that opens at lunch instead, offers food of lesser quality than the other, but it's on a permanent menu, meaning that it's probably frozen food. And the other issue is how popular that place is. Even in early spring, totally off season, the place was packed with tourists. The price is also expensive, but that's to be expected for a wellness hotel in Switzerland. No complaint about that. It's important to note that there's also the price of the train to reach that place, and potentially also the cost of the parking for the car. That can easily add another 100 bucks to the trip cost. So, I can recommend this place.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel and spa. It was a last-minute decision to go for a spa visit in the Alps. What a great decision it turned out to be. We called the night before and booked a spa package, including breakfast and a 4-course dinner. The hotel is situated right off the mountain train stop, so a quick 50-meter walk gets you inside. And, while not a luxury hotel, you could not beat the VIEW. Our room's exterior wall was all windows -- looking out at the mountain peaks. The room also had a balcony to step out outside. After we dropped off our luggage and checked in, we rode the train the rest of the way to the top of Mount Rigi to experience a beautiful sunset. Then a quick ride back down to the Kaltbad First stop, where we sat in the hotel lounge to enjoy a drink and the mountain view. The included 4-course dinner could have been better, but since it was a 'special-price' package, we had not paid much for it. The next day, we were pampered in the spa with numerous massage treatments, various indoor and outdoor thermal pools, sauna, and steam-shower available. Following our massages, we swam in the outside thermal pool while the snow fell around us. Truly magical. The hotel and spa staffs were exceptionally helpful. We would definitely return!
