Romantic Pitti by Mmega

Disgusting. Nothing romantic about Romantic Pitti. It smelled like sewer gas, vomit, and old sweat. There were holes in the walls, dirty walls, smashed mosquitoes on the walls, stains on the lamp shades and sofa. There were ugly cleaning supplies and random objects about the place. No AC, stale air. Just awful. I had booked for three nights, but ended up leaving without staying over one night. I changed my flight and went directly to the airport at 9pm and waited all night for my 6:30am flight back home. I lost two days of vacation in Florence. Such a disappointment. And to have paid $70 cleaning deposit on top of the nightly fee! I applied for a refund but never heard anything back. The rest of my Italian vacation was fabulous. This is an investment property for somebody who does not care. Also, the person who was supposed to let me into the apartment was 15 minutes late, so I waited outside on the street. It's up three flights of narrow stairs – no lift.
