A very mixed experience depending on whether this review is for arrival or departure. The arrival experience is quite standard, once you get off the plane, you walk through the terminal, clear immigration / border, pick up your checked baggage, then there is a little buffer between the arrival hall for you to arrange "official" taxi or bus into Lima city. For travellers in general, if you are not comfortable haggling in Spanish with the taxi drivers outside, this little buffer zone is where you arrange your transport into the city. The rate is also nicely posted at the luggage pick up area. Overall the arrival part of the airport feels relatively old (like from the 90's) and standard. For International departure, the airport is very modernized like LAX. The departure part of the airport is bright, has all the shops, bells and whistles. Only down side is there is not enough washroom in this airport.

Jorge Chavez International Airport is a fantastic gateway to Peru and a traveler's dream. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this airport, and I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The airport is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. The signage is clear, making it simple to find your way around, even if you're not fluent in Spanish. The immigration and customs process was efficient, with friendly and helpful staff who made the entry process a breeze. The terminal is spacious and offers a great variety of dining and shopping options. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack, a hearty meal, or some last-minute souvenir shopping, you'll find plenty of choices to suit your preferences. Plus, the duty-free shops offer a wide range of products, including local crafts and premium brands. I was particularly impressed with the airport's cleanliness and the attention to hygiene and sanitation. Restrooms are well-maintained, and hand sanitizer stations are readily available throughout the terminal. Transportation options to and from the airport are abundant. Taxis, rideshares, and public transportation are all easily accessible, allowing for a smooth transition to your final destination in Lima or other parts of Peru. Additionally, the airport staff was consistently courteous and eager to assist travelers. Language barriers were not an issue, as many of the staff members spoke English. In summary, Jorge Chavez International Airport provides a top-notch travel experience. It sets a high standard for international airports, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Peru. It's an excellent starting point for exploring this beautiful country, and I look forward to passing through this airport again in the future.

I arrived at night and the immigration system was "hung" which meant a significant wait in a queue. The people who had to catch another flight were worried because we were delayed more than 30 minutes. In general, the airport is large, clean and busy.

Overall I would say I had a good experience. Once I landed I did have to wait a little longer than I hoped to to get off the plane but nothing silly. Once I was off the plane I made a quick dash to security and had my passport checked. It was a quick and easy process and was allowed in with no problems. After that I went to baggage claim and my bag was already on the belt! Overall I would say I had a good time at the Jorge Chavez International Airport. Speedy and efficient work from the Peruvians!

Hello hello Leo here discover beautiful and useful places like this aeropoto Lima International. Everything is clean and well organized. You have a friendly migration check point No stamp or card anymore needed, 3bebrthung is digital and after you scan a qrs code and put in your Passport number and name you get e PDF with your date coming in and the time you can stay 😊 From the aerport to Lima a lot of local buses But I used with what app number the quick llama airport shuttle. So far Suerte in Peru Well recommended Leo 😊👍
