I recently stayed at Hotel Russia, and it was an extremely disappointing experience that fell far short of its purported 5-star rating. Firstly, our room was in a deplorable state with dirty sheets that had unsettling red spots. This alone was a major red flag about the hygiene standards of the hotel. Additionally, the staff's attitude was notably unfriendly and unhelpful, which significantly dampened our stay. The food was another letdown. Not only was the variety very limited, but the portion sizes were also unsatisfactorily small. This certainly did not meet the expectations of a high-quality hotel dining experience. Moreover, another room allocated to us had an unbearable smell, making it difficult to stay in. The gym was equipped with outdated, Soviet-era machinery that was not only rusted but also seemed unsafe to use. This raised serious concerns about the hotel's attention to the safety and well-being of its guests. Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend Hotel Russia. It is a far cry from the luxurious and comfortable stay one would expect from a 5-star establishment.

I don’t know who and how decided that this is a five star hotel?! Trust me, it’s not and it’s a way too far away from being a 5-star hotel. Terrible service - no one to open the door and help you with the luggages. When you enter the hotel, no one greets you and directs where to sit/wait. The worst part is the hotel was so noisy with super impolite guests that we felt like we are in the middle of the street or bazaar! The hotel staff didn’t do anything about it. Food was pretty average. Good for people who want to get stuffed for cheap! No robe in the rooms and this is a 5-star hotel. From positive things, the bed and mattress were comfortable, spacious and very clean rooms and that’s pretty much it. I will never ever go back to this hotel!

The Service was TERRIBLE. The reception guy didn't answer the questions, as chewing gum was more important. The staff from ordinary workers to management lacked the basic customer service skills and are not qualified to manage the hotel. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Overall it was a nice experience. The only thing is all lights are off at 11pm, everything closes at 11pm. Kids rooms are open at 11am which is not convenient at all. I want to advise all visitors do not loose their room key. We travel quite often, and we never got charged for lost keys, however be ready to pay $8-10 (3000 AMD) in case you leave your keys at THEIR lobby, and couldn’t return it. They don’t clean rooms unless you ask for it or put the green tag on your door. No hair conditioner. Food was good. So, even though it was not too bad I wouldn’t return.
