Nice guesthouse in the middle of neighborhood. Felt very safe. Close to many things. Very friendly and kind staff. We booked the family room and one double room. The double room on the main floor was very nice and well laid out with nice mini kitchen facilities. The family room upstairs was spacious but fairly hot. We opened windows and used the fans but got loads of mosquitoes and bites. And leaves and debris blowing in. The smaller room has an AC and dark curtains and good beds. The larger room was harder to sleep in with no AC, older mattresses, a really loud ceiling fan and bright morning light. The sitting area was ok. We had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. And there is a large window overlooking the sitting area of the house below where people live. When they talk it sounds like they are in the same room. It's very loud and echoes up. The pool was very dirty and unusable. We would have liked to use the patio area by the pool with a game table and sofa, but other guests seemed to always be occupying it. We would stay here again, just maybe not in the family room due to mosquitos.

What a great little venue hidden in Tokai. It's so close to an urban area, yet, when you're there, it feel far away in some resort. First of all, this is more boutique hotel than guest house. And the rooms are generous - in fact, you get bigger rooms than you would get in many hotels - which is a bonus. The venue is well-appointed with an entertainment area, pool, breakfast/dining area and free parking on site. The rooms come fully equipped for self-catering and finishes are of a high quality. Linen service is also sharp and on point. There could be a slightly better accommodation made for wheelchair users.

Great host, nice property. The rooms are not insulated well so it is cold even with a heater. There is no noise blocking so you could easily hear what’s happening next door. I would stay again if I am in Tokai.
