Exceeded expectations! Great location, lovely large, quiet room (503) with huge Western style bathroom. Relaxing communal bath upstairs as well. Friendly and welcoming staff. They don't offer breakfast anymore, so just make sure you buy something for the room from the nearby kombini. Our room had a small fridge. Very close to shopping, sites, and subway. Great price for Tokyo.

Absolutely fantastic ryokan in Asakusa. The location could not be better. You can see both the Tokyo sky tree as well as the five storied pagoda of sensoji temple from the upper floors. They also have both an onsen style bath for men as well as for women from which you can see both mentioned attractions. The rooms are very nice, but for more than 1 person I recommend not picking the smallest option. It's still totally okay space wise, but the bigger rooms don't cost that much more and for longer stays you will enjoy the greater amount of space. The personell and the owner are fantastic as well. Incredibly friendly and you can tell they take service very seriously. The only thing I was missing a little were the modern Japanese toilets I have grown accustomed to. My room had a regular toilet like we have at home, but the modern toilets are so fantastic no normal toilet could ever match. All on all totally worth it. Great stay, great experience

If you want to stay in the heart of Asakusa you cannot get any closer than this. That said, it's on a side street which reduces the noise a bit. Since it is a Ryokan these are Japanese style rooms with futons. Rooms on the front have small balconies with street views and some you can catch Sensoji Temple. The owners were very friendly. Their restaurant is closed right now due to the sudden retirement of their chef.
