Loved this airport. They have so much variety it lounges, shopping, food and great visiting area. I had layover of 8 hours but enjoyed every single minute. Shopped for everyone , had shower in the lounge , slept for 3 hours, had food and coffee in another lounge. Best was their tea - I enjoyed have many times the local tea.

Good airport although this one is the older ones but everything is good. Efficient, fast and have everything you need here, various eateries etc. It’s connected to the metro line in which you have to use Istanbul card, but the machines are available nearby the entrance of the metro and you can reach the centre easily. The metro stops within the asian part of Istanbul but there are connections to the old town, Taksim area etc. For departing, there will be security checkpoints for luggages before entering the airport so take into consideration when arriving for departure. Other than this, this is a good and busy airport.

This airport provided me with excellent service. Due to being that during rush hour, the checkin luggage took me about 45 minutes, and the security check took an hour or more. Oh my god, unfortunately we missed your flight, but it was still a great experience, and my airline, Pegasus, replaced my ticket for free, so I'm thrilled about that

Negative: WiFi is free only for an hour, you need to go to the information desk to get a password. No power sockets, found one only in Starbucks. There’s a couple of power stations, all were occupied. No desks/places to work from. No drinking water fountains. Positive: a lot of different cafes, including fast food, but you can find something healthy like fruits or yogurt.

A busy airport with only one runway and another one is being built for several years and not ready yet by 2023, so prepare yourself for delays. Shopping and catering services are sufficient. I recommend you to enter one of the lounges here as the prices for a snack or a drink at the cafe restaurants have rocketed up even for the tourists! By the way this is a very secure airport with 2 security controls, one when entering and the other one after passport control
