Nice place for no frills room and with a budget. Only downside is that there are no fridges or a microwave in the rooms so you can't keep drinks or food in your room. Also I don't know if it's with some rooms but first week we didn't have any tables in our rooms to put stuff like laptops on, but on a second stay we had tables. Nice that we get free breakfast of toast and soup in the hotel's cafe, but if you do want a bit more you can order from the kitchen and the prices are very cheap. They also have a big beer selection from around the world. Big plus I always enjoy from this group is that I can leave my luggage in their storage room free of charge if you plan to split your stay. That way you don't have to lug your luggage all over Japan.

Just enough for travelers who are on a budget. Best for small groups. Location was really good in terms of buying affordable goods and foods. But location to JR will take you 15mins walk as the road to station is uphill, while going to Subway (Nippori Station.) was just at 10-12mins walk in a flat road. Great service from Daisuke and his staff. They speak and understand English well. Rooms tho are a bit small especially for week-long traveling tourists. But the room is bigger than Apa Hotel (a budget travel hotel in Japan).

This budget hotel chain has an excellent reputation for having great value for money and this particular branch is no exception. It has all of the essentials while displaying a unique charm that welcomes foreigners from around the world. Staff were nice and can communicate well in English. They were even nice enough to let us use the luggage storage after we checked out so that we could do some last minute shopping. But what really sets this place apart from other budget hotels is that it is located in a great area full of delicious food, unique shops, and local art galleries where one could spend their entire day exploring the vicinity of the hotel. Highlights include Yadorigi Cafe, one of the best animal cafes imo, Kanekichien, a tea shop with a rich selection of teas and teaware, and Higure, an eccentric gallery with a rooftop camel statue. It is also a 5 min walk from the Sendagi Station and a 10 min walk from Nippori Station, so we were able to go to anywhere in Tokyo with ease. The only points I would take away from this hotel is that the air conditioner is not that effective in heating up the room and a lot of the air vents in the rooms and bathrooms as well as the lint catcher in the dryers have sustained years of buildup and looks quite disgusting. Though I still recommend this place if you intend to explore and shop around the vicinity, Nippori, Ueno, and other nearby areas.

It was pretty good for 3 people at around 10000 yen. There’s one single bed and two bunk beds and there’s some space to put our luggage. The toilet and shower was clean. You can also leave your luggage easily at the storage room even after checking out. Only problem was that we were in room 301 (if i remember correctly) where we could not get working multiple keys and had to use a master key which was strange as it would be a security risk. So it was inconvenient to go out on your own as you basically have to take out the key inserted jn the room or have someone ready to open the door for you when coming back.

Place is near 5 minutes away from the MRT station, around 10 minutes walk to the train station. Some convenient stores around. This hotel very cheap with breakfast included ( toast and soup, coffee or tea.
