Amazing staff!! First off want to begin with how nice they were upon entering the premise. They knew that we were only staying for one night and wanted to make it the best experience so made sure to give us a balcony overlooking the streets. After we checked out at 12pm, we had to wait until 7:30 to get picked up to go somewhere else. Not only did they hold our luggage all day so we could walk and enjoy Hanoi still, they offered to let us use the shower and bathroom before looking for a request and leave clan left as well at no cost! Amazing service and staff. Went above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Average. This hotel is average. That was the lowest option I was given during the checkout survey. And it's the most accurate. It's not "exceptional" or "great." It's also not "bad." It's average. It was even good in some respects. It was a comfortable place to rest on my family's last night after two weeks of traveling from tip-to-tip of Vietnam. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world, mostly in North America and Europe, but also in Asia. This hotel is no different than a Day's Inn or Holiday Inn. But when I filled out the checkout survey and did not select "excellent" on every category, the receptionist was horrified. She was so horrified, she wouldn't let us leave the hotel to catch our flight to Chicago on time. Instead, she wanted us to wait for the off-site manager to come speak with us in person. I repeat, this hotel was fine. There is nothing wrong with this hotel. But because we didn't shower them with compliments, they were willing to let us miss our flight. They should welcome honest feedback, not just fish for positive reviews. Honestly, I probably would have left a four star review if there hadn't been so much drama over the use of my word "average." So what would have made this hotel above "average?" Some of it, they can't change, like the fact that our room's window faced a brick wall. No issue there, because I wasn't expecting a view during a one-night stay. Some things they could change. For example, the sheets had some small hairs in them. The walls in the room were scuffed and the paint was peeling around the bathroom. The shower was low pressure, but was big, hot, and clean. The staff could communicate better among themselves, like when the receptionist offers to have a bellhop help us get our bags, but he never showed up. Also, my breakfast omelette wasn't salted and the food was mealy. Still, these are MINOR issues that I would have been willing to ignore. But they asked me for honest feedback, I gave it to them, and regretted the scandal it caused. To sum it up, I'd like to quote the folks checking out before us. "It's not the Hilton, but it was nice." That's a great way to describe this hotel. I also appreciate the bag of tea that the receptionist gave me as a gift as I was getting into the taxi, even if it felt a bit like a bribe.

AMAZING STAFF. this is what set this hotel apart from any other. the room were clean and needed some small diy fixings but nothing major. beautiful breakfast. location is just outside Old Town, but still lots to do and see near the French quarter and train street. bar upstairs was nice and with a helpful friendly staff too. great hotel. beds were so comfy. King bed great. twin bed great.

I chose this hotel because of its central position, close to the train street, the old center, night markets, the French quarter. We found a fancy hotel with a perfectly working elevator and rooms as described. The rooms we stayed in were spacious with comfortable beds and everything we needed. Street-facing rooms have a beautiful view of Hanoi life with all its hustle and bustle. We liked the breakfast very much. All the hotel staff are extraordinary, wonderful people who really want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. With Daff's help we had fantastic experiences with comfortable transfers and a cruise on an amazing ship in HaLongBay. Daff answered all possible questions and helped us with absolutely everything we needed during our stay. For us it is a place that has remained close to our hearts and for sure when we arrive in Hanoi again we will look to stay here again.
