This is one of the nicest Basilica’s in Rome, it’s stunning. The colonnades are gorgeous, the artwork, stone work and museum is beautiful. It’s fairly large with lots to see and do. The artwork, statues, artifacts and religious clothing is very well preserved and displayed. Its collection is impressive, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend checking out the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, it’s a great place for families and children of all ages.

Absolutely gorgeous. Gold adorns nearly every surface. Beautiful paintings both small and huge. The stain glass window is exquisite. The tiny Chapels off the sides are gorgeous. All the little details as you look around get more and more intricate and obvious the more you look. Beautiful

It is a very beautiful basilica near the Roma Termini station. We visited this when we had 1 hour before the train to catch. It is a walking distance from termini. There is no ticket to enter the basilica, but there is one to see the stairs and museum. There are time slots for that too, so make sure you have enough time before you visit. The architecture is beautiful, as is in all of Rome!

I have always loved that church. It is one of the most beautiful in Rome. In many aspects, she looks like st Peter's little sister. The interior is quite like the basilica in the Vatican, gold and marble mixed with such elegance. The entry is free but you could pay for a guided tour, if you are interested in the history of the church. Among all other things, in the vault beneath the alter, there is a sacred relict in a beautiful crystal bowl, containing wood from the holy crib of the nativity of Jesus Christ, which made the church a point of pilgrimage for many centuries.

The Essence of the Holy Spirit engulfs your soul as you walk into this Basilica. Tears rolled down my eyes, the feeling of Love, through the light of the world. So thankful that my hotel was right across the street. I felt calm and serene during my 6 days visit in Rome. I’m so grateful to have been able to attend mass here in this sacred place. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
