Had a week here, early September. Good for couples. Fortunately not a kid in sight. Full occupancy over peak months seems achieved with a number of Chinese tour groups who stay a couple of nights before the next one comes along. You are here for the amazing view as it looks northwards out over the caldera. Full view from great swimming pool. Most rooms seem to have a balcony or viewing area. The pricier rooms have the unrestricted views of the caldera but our standard room was good. Note that as it is north facing it can be windy here. Breakfast (8-10am) is a decent range of buffet options, quality at the level of a 3 star hotel. I just had quadruple expressos from the machine. The tour groups pile in at 8 for the first half hour. The couples wait till nearer 9am. We rented a car for the week as we wanted to explore the island independently. I thought it best given the location of the hotel although many guests seemed happy to use the local bus services. Akrotiri is a few minutes walk to get to the small selection of restaurants there. Staff at the hotel are knowledgeable and helpful- definitely one of the main plus points in this place.

This Hotel is stunning, our room is small and on the ground floor, furnished in white goods with two single twin beds we knew this when we booked, it was quite clear. There are other rooms available, they range from beautiful to fantastic depending on our budget you can find it here. The Hotel is magnificently white and blue it sits like a sculpture on its cliff overlooking the extinct sea filled Volcano Crater. The staff are lovely too, great service but not intrusive if you know what I mean. Finally location, we picked this location deliberately, it's away from the Madness of the Cruise Ship locations. Tucked against the sea half a mile from a sweet little village with everything you need, but only a bus ride from all the attractions. If you like beautiful locations enjoy Greece and the peace and quiet it offers then this is the place for you... Only three days left here sadly

Hotel has amazing views, a good breakfast, and is near the village of Akrotiri. But the room was very disappointing. We were told we had been "upgraded" to a better room, but our room was literally 5 feet from the road, which is a very busy road, even during the night, so very loud. The jacuzzi on the balcony was dirty and not warm at all. The WiFi in the room didn't work, and the shower cut off after about 10 minutes. It didn't run out of HOT water, it stopped spraying water completely. For the amount we paid for this hotel, we were highly disappointed.

So nice It's amazing The service was very wonderful. I had been late until the night. I contacted them saying that the ship would be late and I received an email saying that they would give me instructions at the reception. In fact, this is what happened. I arrived and found the paper. It was easy to get to my room and everything was clean. The view from the room’s window was also very amazing. Thank you.

Amazing view on the Caldera and Fira. Very nice welcoming and friendly staff (and flexible). When arriving they upgraded us to a more expensive room for free. The more expensive room had a very nice hot tube with amazing view. However, the room was right next to the street and we could hear the car noise. When we explained that to the staff they immediately gave us back our original room, which was way calmer and had even better view. We really enjyoed the common swimming pool with an amazing view and the whole hotel stay. 2 little bottle of water and 2 coffee capsules were provided per day in the room. Akrotiri, the town next to the hotel, was very cute and much less crowded than Fira and Oia. 20min drive to the airport. 20min drive to Fira. 35 min drive to Oia.
