The best mid-ranged hotels I have stayed. Cozy and smart-designed. Huge bed in the standard room. Great breakfast! Even though I travelled for vacation this time, I think it would be a perfect place for business travelling as well. I will definitely book this hotel again next time. The only minus point is that public transport is at least 400 m from the hotel. It was a bit problematic during such windy and rainy days of our stay in Copenhagen. It would not be a problem during summer I guess.

A Mixed Experience at Scandic Hotel, Copenhagen I recently stayed at the Scandic Hotel in Copenhagen and, overall, had a mixed experience. The room itself was aesthetically pleasing, with standard amenities. However, it was disappointing to find no water in the room, and the absence of slippers, along with a shortage of towels, was inconvenient. Despite these drawbacks, the room had its merits – a spacious shower and stylish copper-finished fixtures added a touch of luxury. The highlight of my stay was the excellent breakfast, offering a variety of options to satisfy different tastes. Additionally, the staff proved to be highly competent and courteous, contributing positively to the overall experience.

First of all: READ THE THREE-STAR AND UNDER REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING HERE. WE ARE BY FAR NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THESE ISSUES. Also, this is my first negative review. It takes a lot to push me to this point. I need to share our disappointing experience at Scandic Kødbyen in Copenhagen (8/12 to 11/12). The hotel manager agreed with us that the issues we faced were unacceptable, yet there was no proper resolution. From the moment we entered our room, we could see several dust bunnies floating across the floor. The bathroom light on the bathroom mirror was faulty, and the bathtub drain was broken. While these are inconvenient, we did not think it necessary to go to the trouble of changing rooms. However, it was literally impossible to sleep the first night due to wall-shaking noise from a nearby nightclub, a locality feature not disclosed on Booking.com. As a result, our five-year-old was exhausted the following day and not at all happy to walk around and explore. The reception staff were very kind and apologetic when my husband brought the issue to their attention. Unfortunately, there were no unoccupied rooms that would have been an improvement. For me, the worst was the SILVERFISH we found crawling in our room the last night. If our daughter hadn't already been sleeping, I would have requested a room change immediately. Pests? Are you kidding me?? It's disheartening that despite the manager's agreement on the severity and unacceptability of these issues, there was no follow-up. When I reached out again, the manager explained he was sick and promised to reach out the following week. Three unanswered emails later, our patience has run out. For the substantial amount we paid, we anticipated a four-star experience but were left with the feeling of staying in a dirty motel. Totally unacceptable.
