The hotel is located in the heart of Helsinki, near the Senate square. It is close to the Kauppatori market and the cruise terminals. A great addition is that every room has a bigger than usual fridge and the hotel has a common kitchen where you can prepare your food. It saves time and money. I recommend!

Very nice price and at the same time in the city center. Everything is nearby: metro, shops, main attractions, trolleybus stop right at the hotel. This is a small and cozy boutique hotel. There is everything you need (in the kitchen you can cook). Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. I recommend this boutique hotel👍

Elevator is back working, has a nice historic feel to it. Reception staff was very friendly and check-in was quick. Just keep in mind you have to arrive before 10pm, but once you got the keys you will have 24/7 access. It’s like a mix between Hotel and Hostel. Cute little rooms, clean shared bathrooms and a communal kitchen. Free wifi, good location and comfy beds. Yes it‘s not the most modern place around and not your typical hotel, but for the price I paid (42€ for a single room right in the center of Helsinki) I certainly cannot complain! :)

We arrived at Helsinki midnight, and walked to the hotel from train station which is quite far. We rang the hotel number showed at the door, the answering machine said the number was inactive. We rang the bells many times at the building door,no one answered.. until one of the building residents by coincidence opened the building door and let us in to warm up. The building resident told me the senate hotel is on level 5 I went there and knocked the door, but no one answered.. the hotel looked it was dead! My family were stranded last night because of this stupid unreliable hotel. We had to ring many hotels in Helsinki to ask if they have room available. We finally found another hotel at a dear price because of emergency, and went to bed 2.30 in the morning!!! I have emailed the hotel previously stating that my flight will land 10pm, therefore the checking in will be later after that, and yet they still received my booking through Agoda. In Agoda, they also said "express check in/express check out" Never deal with senate hotel ever again !!!
