New hotel opened in 2019 situated at Pudong. The interior is not typical of Shangrila’s as it is generally brighter, more contemporary vs the conventionally posh and luxurious vibe that you get from walking into a Shangrila hotel. The room is very clean, spacious & comfortable but I don’t quite like the open wardrobe without cabinet. Restaurants are a bit limited but there are plenty of restaurants across the street at the luxurious shopping mall. This location is a bit out of the way and is very quiet at night. Not ideal for vacation but good for business trip when office is just nearby.

Hands down the best hotel gym I've ever seen. Rooms are very modern with electronic controls for everything right on your nightstand! They also have a purified water dispenser in room which is really nive. They have several restaurants in the hotel but the mall across the street has some high-end stores and a lot of excellent restaurants! It's a 5 minute walk to the metro line as well. 35 minute drive to both airports and train stations. Breakfast buffet is so so in comparison to other places.

This Shangri-La is fairly new that opened around Covid period. Compared to a standard Shangri-La this seems to be not as grand. The public area is missing the traditional grand lounge by the lobby. Everything seems compact. That also extends to the rooms which is about 40sqm. The design seems a bit more younger than but other than that it’s a bit of a disappointment. It’s in a fairly new location with a nice mall across the street. Room rates doesn’t seem to justify the smaller rooms. The breakfast is also average, nothing special.

I was about to leave for airport at around 10. There was apparently an important guest who I had no idea about so they closed pathways on one side. I was told to leave through the other door, but when I started to move the guy came in and the hotel staffs started to push me. This is unbelievable discrimination. If the hotel does not welcome other clients other than that group, you might as well just close and reject other client bookings instead of discriminating clients.
