It has a super location by being connected to AMS, which works really well for early flights. The hotel is beautiful and there were a few little disappointments in which I would have normally called for service. Conditioner was empty but I was already in shower so couldn't do anything. We had a club room but our key card was not configured for that and we were charged for breakfast which was taken off our bill because it did come with the club room. Salt grinder was empty on our breakfast table. Hotel is beautiful, bed and rooms are new and modern, and the location is great. The few things we ran into were disappointing but not enough for us not to stay there again.

I visited the Sheraton gym before my flight. The price of 39 euros was reasonable. The level of equipment was OK, however the rower’s screen batteries were out and I would always prefer a barbell to machines. There were no mugs anywhere to be seen so I could not drink. Also, the remote was nowhere to be found so I could not turn down the music and watch the news on the telly. The changing room was good with fresh towels.

The hotel stay was fine, the only thing I did not like was room service discarded items were left in the hallways, which made the place look like a 1* hotel. I called guest services about it and they sent someone from housekeeping, he came and took the tray that had the discarded food. The other items (drink/wine bottles, etc) were left for some other department to come and collect. That was our only issue with the hotel, other than that the stay was phenomenal.

The proximity to the airport is quite convenient, but it is a long train or taxi ride to the city core. Otherwise good design, nothing over the top, and truly great service at the restaurant and bar. One concern is for safety of the conference area, where crowds of passers-by can see inside the meeting rooms and the doors to the area lobby are open to all. Usually a staff member is posted, but not all the time, so this is a bit risky. The same goes for the hotel rooms, the elevators work without a room card.
